    I have a hack for fake nails
    When you stick them on start with the pinky, then do the pinky ON your other hand. After do the ring finger, then do the ring finger in your OTHER hand. Then do your middle, then do your middle on your OTHER hand. Then do your THUMB, then do the thumb not your OTHER hand. And lastly just do the index finger the same way as the others.
    I know it’s hard putting fake nails on your other hand after you completed one

    Fist off I want to say these look real nice. I am a licensed nail technician and a licensed registered Master pedicurist. The only thing I would suggest to you is not to cut your cuticles. They are there for reason to protect the matrix. The matrix is where your nail grows from and when you cut away the cuticle it leaves the The matrix exposed to bacteria which could cause a terrible infection. One of the number one reasons of having to have natural nails removed completely is because of infections. Other than that looks great have a nice day :-)

    • @sexyladyakb
      @sexyladyakb Před 6 lety +144

      Song Bird my son sucks his fingers and it ruins his cuticles .. he got a NASTY infection . My husband had to hold him down while I drained it one day .. I had to squeeze it was terrible .. I disinfected it wrapped it .. we soaked it in epsom salt every day after that and re bandaged it until it healed . It’s an ugly thing to deal with

    For those who are concerned about the longevity of this DIY: let's just say that I was very surprised at how long this DIY lasts.
    I bought the same glue and fake nails from amazon and it lasted me for a little over two weeks before I had to take them off. It didn't snap off or break and I work with my hands a lot. It started to lift at the corners but it wasn't easy to take off (I actually damaged my natural nails underneath because I thought I could just snap it off so be patient with the removal process!!). I compare this DIY with KISS 100 full cover nails plus the glue that comes with it and it only last me 3 freaking days. The KISS fake nails are very flimsy and weak; the one from amazon felt stronger and firmer.
    I totally recommend this DIY if you can't make it to the salon for a week or 2, OR if you're on a tight budget but have a lot of time!

    • @malyikaj
      @malyikaj Před 5 lety +36

      Patricia L The key to getting long lasting fake nails is to actually buff your real nails before you put them on. Take a nail filer and file your entire nailbed before you put them on. It’ll last for a month!

    • @angelemilia8306
      @angelemilia8306 Před 5 lety +8

      Patricia L are they damaging to your natural nails? I have really long natural nails but I want to try this and I’m not sure if I have to cut my natural nails first or if it will damage them xx

    • @malyikaj
      @malyikaj Před 5 lety +10

      Dianuska Gîncu You can reuse them. But, eventually they will chip overtime, get glue stuck on the bottom, and you won’t want to reuse them. You’ll want to use the other nails that are still left from your purchase. The packages usually come with 24 nails to choose from.

    • @malyikaj
      @malyikaj Před 5 lety +3

      Dianuska Gîncu it’s really hard to say. I’ve never had long nails and I use these continuously. So perhaps they are damaging? Or you could always try on one nail and see what happens.

    I've been doing this for years, it's crazy cheap and looks great. Mine last about 3 weeks because I buff and lightly file the tops of my nails to get rid of the shine before I put on the glue. They last waaay longer doing it that way. So much healthier for your nails, than always getting acrylics or sns.

If you use press on, just add a drop glue to the back end of the nail where it's lifting, take a tooth pick to move the glue around the back end of the nail, let dry, then apply top coat. ☺️

    The nails look awesome... but i just wanted to say that it's not recommended to soak your nails in water before sticking on the fake nails with glue. The nail retains water if you soak them and they do not get to dry properly before you put on the glue... Therefore bacteria can form and you are at high risk for an infection. Please be careful and wait at least 2 hours for your nails to completely dry before you continue your manicure. 😊

    I stopped completely as acrylics and gel polish removals made my nails worse.
    Recently i started taking iron tablets and also started drinking biotin smoothie shake(recepie on youtube for hair and nails). My natural nails have become so strong now that they are hard as acrylics. Anyone who see or touch my nails would think that they were acrylics but they are my natural nails. Pls give it a try if you want.

    • @ciannamccoy6253
      @ciannamccoy6253 Před 6 lety +27

      If you want the narrow nail look (I do it too!) take the correct nail size, or a little bigger, and FILE it narrow. Two advantages, it wont pop off, and it wont buckle the nail plate. Some folks have sensitive nail plates and it can make them sore. Not to mention if it buckles the nail plate, the quick under the free edge will get thicker and longer. Makes pockets inviting fungus (green nail) and bacteria.

    I've been wearing my nails like this for a full year now, set after set. I meticulously prep them by gently buffing them, dehydrating them and ensuring there is no air bubbles in the glue when the nail is on. I get a solid 10 days full wear, more on the fingers who are less busy like ring finger and little finger. I encourage anyone to try this, like she said you get some really cheap and decent nails on amazon. My nails have next to no damage and after I figured out a good prep, I've not had any water fungus for probably 10 months. Always get plenty of compliments and asking where I had them done 👍

    this nails do not have any stress point and it can be break off easy. Also preparation is key so if you leave it without removing bacteria, with nail glue it can cause a problem. But indeed it looks good but this kind of manicure is okay for one night wear if you are not usually wearing long nails and you have to go at wedding, some party etc. not recommended for every day type of manicure.
    tip: use tip nail glue for professional. It will hold better.
    tip 2: use rubbing alcohol. after polish remover, and remove excess cuticles like for gel or acrylic nails. Rubbing alcohol at least to remove bacteria.
    tip 3:when removing soak it off in acetone but coat your finger skin with some cuticle oil to prevent drying off the skin
    tip4: after the application of these fake nails, do not use cuticle oil. if there is a gap between nail and tip, it can go between.
    tip5: when removing do not pull! you can damage your nails. if you want it for long wear, better visit a nail tec for gel nails. this is not for long time wearing!

    Do they last with washing dishes , cleaning or just when you use your hands ? I mean i feel like they could come off easily or maybe it depends on the lengh of the nail and the glue ?

      Lam Ia i wear these and keep them almost the same length as she did. They do last through cleaning and other chores. But yes, depends on the glue as well. I use KISS nail glue. Seems to work fine.

    1) I always make sure to get the tightest fit possible so the nail doesn’t have much “open” space anywhere for it to get caught since it usually happens at the base
    2) I always file my nails and prep them by filing the nail bed too (with a buffing block) then clean it with alcohol so it’s fresh and ready for the nail
    3) I bought a pack of fake nail adhesive stickers from Amazon about $10-15 or less. I apply that to the fake nail PLUS use nail glue and press firmly on each nail to let it dry properly
    Hope this helps! It helped me 🙂

    I do this every time I wanna get my acrylics done, but just a heads up to people who are gonna try it, using cuticle oil will weaken the nail and glue (at least in my case) so try to look for cuticle oil that has a thin nail varnish applicator or just apply as little as possible but just enough💓💅🏼
