I mean, I would much rather think of these characters as my friends than as my romantic partners. plus I like original works. me being placed into the story, and someone writing my own personality for me doesn't sound fun tbh. I was also planning on reading fanfic on AO3 not wattpad.

@@user-kg6qu6yv1l fanfics can be really good if you know what to look for. i personally gravitate towards au fanfics rather than y/n or any fics that focus more on relationships than story. i’m not sure what you prefer but if you like to think of characters more as your friends there might be some good y/n ones that have that vibe. not all fics are relationship based and if you’re thinking about using ao3 then just make sure you read the tags in the fics because ao3 has one of the most advanced tagging systems. i really hoped that helped and just tell me if you have any more questions lol

That first one is probably taken directly from TV Tropes. It doesn't mean "good racism", if that's what you're thinking (I thought that was what it was at first, too, lol). "Fantastic" in this case means "fanciful" - for example, elves vs. dwarves or dogs vs. cats.

As a bonus, I was contemplating a fic idea on my commute one day, unsure if I wanted to write it or not. My mind then jumped to potential Ao3 tags, and when the tag "Blasphemy - Freeform" popped into my head, I laughed so hard that I almost crashed. I haven't finished it, but anytime I need writing motivation, I think of that tag and how happy I'll be to use it.
