Really good and fun line. You can lower the action of your strings to get more of that snappy sound, or you can apply more strength (be careful not damaging yourself). I went with intermediate action and mashing of the strings, just to get more of the intensity of the song. You can always play with that. Learn to use the action of your strings and dynamics as a tool for getting different tones. Song is constructed mostly on riffs based on F# Minor Pentatonic or Blues with a Bridge that goes over B Minor Pent/Blues. Didn't feel the need to notate chords. Most of the harmony goes on 5ths and even octaves/unison.

When Tom Morello uses the kill switch while rubbing the strings, his technique is very close to the hiphop DJ's technique for scratching. They use the cross fade to close/open the sound like the kill switch, while bringing up and down the sound on the vinyl like the movement on the strings.
There is a fuzz effect used in the intro but your pickups and amp (and attack) settings are doing a good job of getting a fairly aggressive sound

It’s the same reason some of Fleas lines sound slapped when they aren’t (I know some are, but people assume his non slapped lines are too)
