- Surveillance footage shows a woman who was allegedly kidnapped and forced to marry her abductor in a Las Vegas wedding chapel, according to police. In the video, Joseph Hetzel, 52, kissed Virginia Paris, 55, on the cheek. He also put his arm around her neck and held her tight, but she says that was an act of intimidation. Paris told Inside Edition she feared Hetzel might kill her. At one point, she tried to leave the chapel during the wedding, but Hetzel forced her back. #InsideEdition

My ex did this to me. The only reason we didn't get married is because he needed a copy of his divorce papers from another county & it was late on a Friday. 3 days he kept me. I escaped after being choked & beaten & managed to fight him off & run for it. It was terrifying. The sad part is, the courthouse paid no mind to my red swollen eyes from crying so hard begging him to let me go. I honestly thought they'd notice my distress. But nope. People need to learn how to spot situations like this. Glad this woman also made it out alive.

The real threat of violence can be enough and fear be can incapacitating. You were trying to defend someone that didn't deserve it. You can see how uncomfortable she is and how over attentive and controlling he was being.
Annulled? She was kidnapped. You would think under the circumstances it wouldn't be valid. The judge could have over ruled the marriage.

@@michelizeclem1647 paperwork still needs to be done since there is record of the marriage. They can’t just crumple the paper up and throw it away. That’s just not how it works. The annulment process really isn’t that complicated anyway.
