  • A shortage of land has limited Singapore's adoption of solar power. But now they may have found a solution in ‘floatovoltaics’ - floating solar panels that can lie in reservoirs or other water bodies, running up to 10 percent more efficiently than those on land. The one-hectare test-bed now running in Singapore includes ABB solar inverter technology and can supply energy for up to 250 households. For more see new.abb.com/power-converters-i...

What are the new findings in this test bed after 1 year of time? Is floating solar PV still more efficient than solar PV on land?

Are you sure it is world's biggest ?
I saw a floating solar bed in China in You Tube which seem to be bigger than yours !

The floating solar bed in China is indeed very big - but it isn't a test-bed like this one, which is specifically designed to assess the feasibility and impact of floating solar technologies.

Ok got what you mean - that yours is the largest floating test-bed ? and china one is not test but largest operational already floating solar bed.

Whatever it is it doesnt concern the local residents... its benefiting to the business owners... yawn! Should not post it here to show off

No sun light goes into the water fishes, algae, ants and other will died due to lost of sunlight. Better idea is to cover whole of spore roads with solar panels Advantages provide shade for the cars, people, protect the roads conditions maybe last longer no more pot holes, collect water for our reservoirs. Protect construction workers from elements
    Rain sunlight

Green? Mounted on plastic floaters and made by rare materials extracted somewhere else with unsafe and harmful conditions to the workers and the environment around. You are only relocating the pollution emission point..
