Oddly satisfying that the record of 61 runs was set in 61 and stood for 61 years?
Thanks for the calculations. I heard a lot of numbers and felt there was significance there.
It's not odd, it's Q & illuminati!
And Aaron Judge just ruined it all like it didn't even matter. 🙄...😁
what was the jersey number?
@@playtoearngaming4858 Maris was 9. Judge was 99. I guess that works in its own way.
Watching Dulcé Sloan is like watching someone do a gymnastics routine. Every beat of this has intention. It's freer than that, though. It's something else. What a joy.
I found that part to be cringe, which I'll chalk up to pacing since if the same material had been delivered more quickly I would have been perfectly fine with it.
“Listen, get out of my bizness” … I totally agree: every moment is just perfect and a joy with Dulce.
Dulcé Sloan was amazing in this clip. Probably the funniest one thus far.
I was thinking the same thing ❤️
Going to miss Trevor Noah’s humor, and his honesty.
Didn't Cp mention recently that he decided not to leave?
@@muajin oh my gosh, I hope that's true but I haven't heard he decided not to leave. I'd be so happy if he'd stay.
100% I was very sad to find out I won't be able to watch him. But I hope for his success none the less.
Honest? The United States is in its own little bubble. The people do not even bother researching anything
@@seebarnes6588 Google is easy
Okay, but it's pretty saddening finding out that Trevor is apparently leaving the Daily Show. Which means I may just leave along with him. As someone who appreciates his sense of humor, and always makes my days less stressful, this channel won't be the same without him in my opinion.
I feel the same way but I’ve been watching since Jon Stewart and I never would have found Trevor unless I stuck with the show. I hope Trevor starts a podcast or something where we can still listen to him
Unless ofc, trump hosts the daily show
I would not mind seeing Roy Wood, Jr., step up. 🎉 But is Trevor leaving? When ? 😢
I heard he got fired because the ratings are low.
For real. I go to bed listening to Trevor
Weird thing about shows that are visually too dark is that most shows actually film dark scenes in a bright/well-lit room since it's easier to make a scene darker in post production than it is to make it brighter in post.
So sad that Trevor is leaving. No matter how bad my day is i can always rely on him and the daily show cast to make me laugh . Thank u for feeding us with laughter in the dark times.
😭😭😭

He was racist af
Let's be honest the only reason why trevor is accepted around the world is because he has a white surname and his father is white
@@phodzonefale2633 lies, did not know that till you just wrote it
I sincerely thought the problem was my television’s brightness setting. It makes sense now. 😂😂😂😂😂#HouseOfTheDragon
Me too! I kept adjusting the brightness... then eventually gave up
It's a form of filming that the directors use, they actually film those scenes during the day and dim the light to make it seemed like they filmed at night
Same! I kept switching picture formats to find one where I could see anything! 🤣🤣
Me too 😂😂😂😂😂
Especially episode 7 😭😭😭😭😭
Correct. Some of my family members threw canned food that not even approaching the date on the can because they don't know how it works. They should put "DO NOT USE AFTER: dates" on the cans instead.
It’s like the 2 min warning in basketball,
so I know to hurry and eat it, and not waste it
There was a little store near me that sold only expired food items, it didn't last long. It was called Bumpy's.
I will respect the process and welcome the next host as I welcomed Trevor. Trevor is uniquely talented and will be missed on this platform no doubt. But look what we might have missed if we didn't give HIM a chance. Adding a new host is like adding to one big happy family! Thank you for your service, Trevor! I am happy that you are happy with your decision. Best to you!!
Thank you Trevor I won’t miss you but I I’ll always remember you , I understand your departure “the industry “ boy o boy what a smart man you are..

@@indigobluu 🤣🤣🤣
I do it on GrubHub frequently cuz I'm fat 🤣
They're doing it because lots of people are making money, an actual living, doing reselling. Buy something at Goodwill and then sell it on eBay for more. So Goodwill started paying people to do the research online to see what items would bring, and that's how they have determined how to price objects in their store. One particular object right now that people are losing their minds over is something called Glassy Baby. A company in Portland makes candles of blown glass that can be reused later as drinking glasses. And they do a limited number of each color and about 6 colors a year. So those items become collectors' items. A used glassy baby candle can go for over a $1000 on eBay if it's a coveted design. Goodwills west of the Mississippi have refused to put Glassy Baby on their shelves now. They keep them in the backroom and sell them online.
Yeah, l just got a 'free' tee shirt for $4.22 shipping and if l don't CANCEL, I will be paying a very nice charity $19.99 a month. But l don't know how to cancel😮
Dulce Sloan has been absolutely killing it every time
Agree
I replayed the "Georgia peach" part 10 times 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Goodwill has had online auctions for over a decade. Around 2013 I started to notice a big shift in my area where anything that was worth more than $20 was listed online and never made it to the store floor. They added "goodtech by goodwill" which was basically them just taking what they would hope to get for an auction price and having that be the sticker price on the floor. Kind of defeats part of the purpose of the second hand store.
How can that defeat the purpose of a second hand store when it means that something is previously used?
They’ve also had goodwill boutiques and goodwill blue box for years too. I personally hate thrifting online unless it’s poshmark or something like it where you can ask the seller questions or for more photos wearing it
@@poisoncheeto9956 I’m guessing they mean defeats the purpose of finding the best deal at your local store, versus bidding online with people across the country. There are definitely times when Goodwill’s prices are, shall we say, aspirational. 😂
@@poisoncheeto9956 the purpose of thritnig in person, having a time, getting out of the house. Yes they still sell second hand items, but it there has been some noticeable changes since they came to my area. Inventory is sparce a d prices aren't so thrifty.
What they're doing is capitalizing on donated things. This has been awful for those self-employed pickers trying to make a living. Watch the John Oliver episode about how much the prices of thrift stores have gone up. You're now paying the same for a used shirt as you are for a shirt at Ross. It's beyond ridiculous.
I am peeing in my pants laughing at Dulce Sloan's lotto report. That is so funny, " Come and get it! We got all the guns." That is so funny.
I love her!
eeew...Get a hold of yourself
We’re going to miss him 😢 so much. Trevor always make my day more fun
ehhh, I miss John.
TREVOR ALWAYS MAKES ME SMILE 😃 HE HAS A UNIQUE SENSE OF HUMOR 😍
As far back as X-Files I've complained that someone should turn on a light. It was dark and flashlights just bounced around like old movie spotlights. It has just become worse.
One of my biggest complaints in GoT was the lack of lighting during the fight with the white walkers. Yet, here they go doing it again!
It's really about special effects. They can use the dark to cover up they don't want to pay for special effects
Well it was the same guy who directed the Long Night ep. 😂😂
Unfortunately 2nd hand shirts at Goodwill are far from costing cents, usually more like 10-20 dollars, same as new clothes at Ross or Marshalls.
Goodwill isn’t the same anymore I feel they’re price gouging now and now they’re even pickier on what they choose and their stuff is too expensive.
Noooooo!!! … some Goodwill stores are a bit more expensive but those sell shirts for $6-7
@@ahighervibe4086 yes. At least in Los Angeles/Santa Monic area, where I live.
Goodwill is changing its pricing. They now pay someone to research prices online for more than basic items. The Glassy Vaby phenomenon, for example. A company in Portland makes candles, and the container can be used as a drinking glass later. They make a limited number of each color every year. Some designs will go for thousands on eBay, even if the candle has been used. Knowing this, all Goodwills west of the Mississippi have pulled Glassy Babies from their shelves. If a Glassy Baby is donated to Goodwill, it is priced according to what it sells for on eBay and sold thru Goodwill's online store.. Resellers (people who make their money from buying thrift items and selling them for a higher price online to people who don't want to go into actual stores or to collectors) has affected the pricing at Goodwill. It is no longer meant just for people who are in need. Savors has always been more expensive than Goodwill but to my knowledge they are still not researching researching items for pricing
The programs with the worst lighting issues for me are Game of Thrones, Batman v Superman, & Godzilla 2014’s original theatrical cut. Sad many studios never learned from this.
Dune, too. I never finished it. I was so tired to trying to see.
They were pretty dark but fine on an OLED TV. The starry night looked amazing .
HOD is so dark because they don’t want viewers to see how trash it is. 😅
youre not gonna like Godfather 2 then...
Viewers are blaming the creative decisions but I saw it fine. Y’all just need to change your tv settings.
12:48 She did that 'Georgia Peach Bump' way too easy. That's extreme muscle control That was epic!
dulce is the smile i needed today. love you, lady, keep up the great work!!
I hate it when people say "dark" to mean evil or bad... I'm actually surprised to see the word being used less pejoratively. ☺️
You know what they say about those who get to write history. Same goes for those who got to write the dictionary.
It's harder to see in the dark. That makes it scary. Even a child understands that much.
Before this bit, I assumed people were complaining that is was too dark in mood, not literally, that seems like a much esier fix
@@notpub -- Nah, he shouldn't lighten up. He should call it out.
Every generation butchering language just helps lose more history and meaning.
Butchering language is the same as handicapping our means and strength of communication.
@@notpub -- Banning music, books and art is just a more direct way to contribute to deconstructing history.
They are obviously more direct and easy to spot.
The difference between banning and using bad language is banning is done by a governing body purposely and bad language is done by society itself. You are participating in slowly deconstructing your language and its meaning.
It is slower and less effective, but it is still happening.
Speaking of “too dark”, there was some scene where they pointed out a dress was green, and I was like “That’s because we can’t tell what color it is without them telling us”.
I needed a flashlight to watch that episode.
It was dragon green. Maybe turn up The light on Ur computer?
I think they made sure to say it was green because that was her Bannerman's being called to war when they would make a light in the tower green calling their banners in
😂😂😂

Too funny
Also dulce, she can be a little more pugnacious then Id be but gosh is she a treasure. From her style to her smile, remember her for miles and miles 😂 just appreciating this era while it’s here.
I used to work in goodwill e-commerce in Houston, they did this mostly because they got tired of people finding expensive treasures that the backroom sorters missed or over looked n selling them for big bucks and also on Legos stores woud sell Legos cheaply and they were getting tired of missing out on all that money so they made an e-commerce where it's an auction platform and u bid on stuff
Appreciate the heads-up.
Same Here 👍
Oh really? Every single thing in the store was given to them for free. LOL @ missing out. Literally everything they make is profit.
@@AuntieFa that's quite an....interesting perspective you got there
It’s really sad they are doing this (taking from hard working online resalers-they do their WoRk to find “treasures” at a thrift stores) where everything, EVERYTHING, they sale is given to those stores for FREE. People will even drive to their locations to give them their stuff for FREE! Greedywill is being ridiculous -glad I NEVER shop there.

What about Dolce and Roy tag teaming as anchors when Trevor sadly moves on
"Can't see anything" Yup... us too. Love how it scrambles at that part.
I loved the bit about the lighting in 'House of the dragon' so much. I work in theatre and I've had this discussion with directors so many times. From now on I'll just show this clip to them. :D
I liked it too! I felt it was intentional. I thought we were supposed to see it from the prospective of the characters who were using the darkness as an advantage to kind of hide their dark pursuits. In real life people wait til sunset to misbehave…well they used to 😂
GOT was ALSO sooooo dark! It was so annoying.
Shirts cost more than 40c at Goodwill. In many cases, secondhand shops (not the boutique kind, but the supposedly 'cheap' ones) have prices comparable to sales, discount stores, and clearance at big box -- for new items. It has been theorized that part of the driving up of prices has been the gentrification of 'thrift'. Whereas families were once ridiculed for wearing secondhand, it became trendy at some point, and charitable prices flew out the door. While online ordering might allow persons with particular disabilities and persons who lack transportation, for instance, to purchase these items, I fear it will moreso aid in the commerciale resale business plaguing thrift stores (people buy at Goodwill for $4, sell online for $20, for example) and the continued depletion of product by those buying for personal use who could well afford elsewhere.
Don't go Trevor, is all I could think to say, but that is selfish of me.
Go my brother, with positive energy, spread your wings.

Goodwill has had an online auction and commerce presence for years. I've used it for a quite a while, but you have to watch the shipping. It can be steep.
You can also opt to pick up the items if they are at nearby warehouses.. I usually buy from the Nashville location and pick them up there
@@deandrealmcNice! I don't have any warehouses near me, but I do like the "estimate shipping" feature, so I know whether I should bid or not. Or the 1 cent shipping they offer on select items allows me to bid a higher than I normally would.

Trevor feels a bit frisky since giving notice.
Goodwill is for-profit organization. They profit off of people dropping off things they don’t want. Have you all seen how much the CEO of the company makes?
I always drop my donations off at a local church resale shop or the closest Habitat for Humanity Resale store. At least I know for sure that these places are giving back to my local community.
Each Goodwill region is a separate entity. Most of them file taxes as a 501c3 non-profit.

Goodwill pays its disabled employees less than minimum wage, because it’s legal for them to do that for some reason. I don’t shop there since I learned that.
I didn't know that. Where did you hear that?
This hasn't been a thing since the 70s and didn't happen at every Goodwill. Each region is it's own company.
Trevor please dont leave us in the dark.. you bring joy into my life and sunshine in the morningssss
That's Trevor's audition tape for a House of the Dragon cameo right there!!! HBO better be dialing his number real soon. 🤣
The house of the dragon lighting stuff is so weird. Apparently they shot all of those super dark scenes in broad daylight, and then really did make it look like that intentionally. So weird.
Because they can't film with child actors after dark. It's law in the country they're filming in.
@@isiaharellano3789 that’s certainly a hot take-I hadn’t heard that before. Certainly explains the scenes with the kids, but not the scenes that were just adults, like Rhainyra and Daemon on the beach. Those scenes would have been shot on entirely different days, so to still choose to shoot day-for-night for those, they must have had another justification as well
Couldn't help but agree with the state of La Guardia right now
I know some people that work at the local Goodwill that say if anything nice is donated they take it home for themselves!
That's nor supposed to happen. They could get fired for it.

Trevor's new standup is going great!👍
When Trevor said "The House of Dragon" was too dark, I thought he was referring to the story and not literally the illumination.
No the goodwill e-commerce is not ok! Resalers are now having to compete with with goodwill lowering prices just to move items like Amazon! It’s ridiculous!
Wasn't there an episode that was considered "visually too dark" on the original show, too?
I seem to remember something like that.
Edit: just looked it up - it was "The Long Night" (GoT: S8/E3).
The people complaining about how dark House of the Dragon is clearly didn't watch early seasons X-files. Entire episodes would pass in darkness so complete you might as well have been watching a radio show.
😂 Trevor you're going & you're becoming more funnier
The CEO of goodwill makes over 600k a year this isn’t a non profit company.
The fact that everyone is talking about the dim lighting means that it was a poor choice or a poorly done job.
I love Dulce's g/f perspective that nothing is promised. That was too funny and pretty much correct when you think about it 😂🤣😂🤣.
I had no issues seeing those House of the Dragon night scenes. It was pretty easy to see what was happening. Not like that episode of GoT with the battle against the White Walkers. That was ridiculous.
Yea, I don't know what they're talking about. The scene was suppose to be at night. I was watching it with no lights on around 2 A.M. and I saw everything.
