My wife just introduced me to your channel. There is another community in Bullock County just south of Union Springs named Smut Eye. My late father grew up in South Alabama not far from Two Egg. I remember him talking about Two Egg and how it got it's unusual name. His version was a woman was going to market to sell eggs. The wagon she was traveling in hit a bump and the basket of eggs fell out of the wagon. All the eggs in the basket cracked but two.

"I found an old building in the woods" and this is where horror movies usually begin. "DON'T GO IN, DON'T GO IN!!" You usually find yourself screaming at the movie screen

I had a soldier from Pine Apple. Freddie Jones was his name. Great guy, a school teacher and very proud of his family. His pride and joy was his Dodge Hellcat. Freddie, you won't be forgotten.

Wonderful video. I have driven through Two Egg and wondered about the name. It was surprising that Faye Dunaway was from Two Egg. In interviews, she sounds like she's from the Hamptons.

I went to school in Pine Apple in the 60’s. At that time, one teacher taught two grades in the same classroom! The high school hade each grade separate. I drove there years ago to show my granddaughter.

Love visiting these old towns with you. That old building in two egg was sort of creepy but interesting at the same time. Thanks for sharing.

My curiosity is up! Have you checked to see if Homer and Ida Wise of Victoria are of any relationship to you? It appeared to be a quaint little cemetery. It was nice that the little berg has not only survived, but may have some growth with people moving in for the inexpensive living.
And that old building at Two Egg was a fairly grand building for back in the day. The creep factor of that building grew for me as you were climbing the stairs, and I saw the vertical separation of the blocks. Quite the find that was for you!
All so interesting for us that you so wonderfully brought along for the ride. These ride alongs are, as an old timer once said, "The best thing to happen since Hector was a pup"!

I didn’t check, but I’m not familiar of any Wise’s from Alabama in our family tree 😊 and yeah it was an impressive looking building!!

Im glad you braved entering the building, you may have always wondered otherwise. I had to laugh at "Smut Eye", I love finding the odd names of towns in states. Folks have some colorful terms. Great video, glad you stepped on over to Florida while you were there. Stay safe and GOD bless

Very interesting, a "Wise" tombstone, and the old white building, I figure it was used as a church & school. I so enjoy your drone shots of the areas you video. 😎

Glad you didn't keep Victoria secret, but at least put Two Egg in the basket and you didn't pull the pin on that Pine Apple. Made for a great video and no chance of getting Smut in your eye.

Coach, you sounded somewhat spooked when you explored the last building. Your voice betrayed your thoughts. I suspect you are not very good at poker and there is no way you could ever be a Jedi. Master Yoda will be disappointed......🌌

While living in Lakeland Florida back in the mid seventies, a couple of friends of mine decided to head to Oregon in their converted school bus. During their trip they spent the night in Why Not, Mississippi.
    That's where they married.
    They said...
    Why Not ✌️

I swear whenever I think of Alabama my mind goes straight to an episode of Married With Children. the family was going on a Labor Day vacation except they got stuck in traffic literally just outside their house! They decided to play a game where somebody says a state and the last letter of the last state said, the next state should start with such as Kansas, the next state starts with S. Anyway, the letter was A and Kelly said "ALABAMER, DADDY, R" So every time I see Alabama I think Alabamer
