If you end up going all non-Traxxas batteries I recommend PowerHobby batteries with EC5 connectors. Those PowerHobby’s have a lot of power even when they have a relatively low “C” rating.
I wonder if this would work on batteries that have messed up balance wires? My 3S LiPO for my Hoss works just fine. It’s not puffed or anything. But something is messed up internally with the balance wires and it took some fiddling with the position of the battery to get them to connect properly until recently, when that doesn’t work and it refuses to charge. I’m gonna see if they’ll replace it for free, or else see if I can trade in the battery for reduced cost on a new one
Burst rate mean straight out of the hole take off the 30 or 35 c or the 30 or 35 d means acceleration or discharge continuous the other one is burst rate straight out of the hole
I have a pair of 3S lipos that “puffed” and they still work like new. I went a few months without charging them and decided to try them out and they’re good. Each case is different, I guess.

The FREE warranty is only valid for a year. Anything over 1 year all you have to do is pay half price for whatever battery it is all they’ll ship you a new one. Shipping may take awhile though. Traxxas says they are having massive shortages. Though that may work to your wallets advantage… I had to wait a month and a half for a servo replacement. I was going to pay $45 for it (half price) and I have yet to receive the bill! EPIC!!! SUBSCRIBE!!! 👍

My RMA came under the “Traxxas will replace or repair any defective product at their sole digression,” and they fully covered it. I wasn’t negligent with my batteries and stored them and it still puffed, so I was able to get full coverage. But you can rest assured that I did actually get this replacement battery for free. Doesn't Traxxas let you exchange your batteries (or anything else) through your local Hobby Shop? Then you don't have to deal with shipping anything to them as your Hobby Shop does all that (if they are a Traxxas dealer). This is another reason why Traxxas support is #1...

A main hobby in Chico CA won't return anything Traxxas they say every time I need to send it myself. So I stopped buying Traxxas and shopping at A main hobby. Amazon lets you return anything. To bad I like to support local but local also needs to support me.
As far as I know you could send in a hundred batteries and they will give you batteries. BUT the batteries have to be under warranty and they have to have batteries in stock to give you. I am currently waiting on 2 batteries and I asked Traxxas the status of the order and they said that they literally had no batteries to give me.
It will say the serial number above the bar code on the side of the Battery. For the date You can look at your receipt if you got it from a hobby shop or if you get it online at like amazon you can look at your purchase history.
First totally discharge the battery by putting it in really salty water for 24 hours. Then all you do is either put it in a box with padding and include a proof of purchase within a year to get the warranty; or just put it in a box with good padding and ship it to Traxxas HQ. Traxxas gives you an RMA that has you ship through USPS only I think. I might be wrong but I think you can only use USPS. Hope this helps, if you have questions just reply. SUBSCRIBE!!!
Oh by the way I have a Traxxas Slash 4x4 millennium system I've had mine and my battery batteries since 2015 I have a HPI touring car that I modified and had all graphite frame and everything $1,200 in that car just the car I have a vatera gamora the 27 Vitara gamora can't even get it no more cuz they copied the losi and because of that little speaker icon at the top of the screen on the dial pad is why I can send stuff and she reads it back to me oh and I have a mini cub a super Cub three drones jet fighter and the CX2 helicopter and the mini CX2 I have a wrestler and a stampede in my Slash 4x4 unless you say the new 2024 truck real truck can't catch it

Yes, but I got a $140 battery for free so $10 is a very small price to pay. Also considering most other batteries if they have a free replacement warranty are hard and toilsome to ship back I’d say Traxxas has a very good warranty system. 👍
I like Spektrum Batteries a lot but they are expensive so Powerhobby is a really good cheap alternative and Traxxas are good for Traxxas cars but they go out/puff after some time. I have all of these types of batteries and these are my opinions on them. Others I’ve heard are good are ZEEE, Zop Power, Gens Ace, and Venom. 👍
Been in the hobby for 15+ years. Do yourself a favor and ditch traxxas batteries before you get to deep into the ecosystem. Thr quality is equal to the cheapest Amazon junk.

All of their batteries have a 1 year warranty and then after that they all have a half price replacement fee and no you do not need the original box 👍

My LHS does not because they are not a big chain or part of a massive corporation. Really only the bigger shops do that.
