Mr. Sabin Aboitiz, Aboitiz Group President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), discusses in an interview the investment pledges for the Philippines' energy sector with grants totaling up to US$130 million from the Japan's Energy for a New Era (JERA) to experiment on new technologies like ammonia and hydrogen, as well as business deals with Amber Kinetics, together Kawasaki Heavy Industries, that is manufacturing fly-wheel technology for storage which is considered a better alternative to batteries.
Mr. Aboitiz, as the Lead Convenor of the Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC), is part of the Philippine business delegation who joined President Marcos Jr. in his Official Visit to Japan to promote the country as an investment hub among Japanese investors, stakeholders and companies.
