Gearbox manual gear selection - Talbot Express / Peugeot J5 / Citroen C25 / Fiat Ducato 84-93

How to select gears manually (especially reverse) on these gearboxes
Highly recommended before removing the collar/bush assembly.
Also very useful if you find yourself unable to select reverse due to worn Linkage (see www.jktowers.co.uk ) , or poorly adjusted linkage, or worn engine mountings allowing the unit to move sideways when leaning to the left.
Gear Selection corresponding to Shaft Movement:
Vertical Clockwise AntiClockwise
DOWN Reverse 5th
MID 4th 3rd
UP 2nd 1st

Mine has column shift (lhd) and is James solid in reverse , is this terminal ?
