The problem is it is not $2000 dollars that’s just the crowd funding price it starts at an eye watering $3999.00 dollars

Nice one, I haven't thought about underwater drones, but it makes sense. It would be really nice to see aerial drones which are able to go underwater as well (less water damaged drones at least :D ). Thanks for sharing this.

Yeah you can get waterproof ones like this. www.quadh2o.com/store/hexh2o/hexh2o-pro-rtf/
The problem is that hydrodynamics and aerodynamics have entirely different properties. For example you need a longer, bigger propeller for an aerial drone but a shorter 3 blade one for water.
Interesting thought but I think they will have to keep these two separate for the best results.

Here is another drone that can get wet. Looks quite cool. Still not for underwater though czcams.com/video/iMfTHHLbj5g/video.html

how does underwater sonar communication works

    • @WaterlineShorts

Quite a lot like a bat. A bat makes a high pitched sound. That sound wave goes out and is reflected back like an echo by any object in its path. When it hears the echo it can measure the difference in time between when it sent out the sound and when it heard the echo. That tells it how far away the object is.

Thanks for reply, Because in the video they can remote the ROV underwater how it that happened. As I know the sonar sensor normally use for measure the distance. I am a student doing a underwater wireless communication system project. I don't know how to do it, just wanna make basic thing, object A to remote object B use Arduino under the water.

Wow, that sounds amazing. I have to make some assumptions. Like a submarine using sonar to measure depth, thye send out a signal and receive the echo in reply. If they alter the type of signal sent out this can be communicated as an instruction. If you think about morse code. This is a series of long and short burts of code. This could be like a series of 1 and 0 like binary code used to program a computer. I hope that helps.
