  • This is the full performance of a young Davy Jones (looking a little like Eddie Munster) on Merv Griffin's Talent Scouts in 1963. A wonderful rare glimpse of this talented teenager before he became a teen idol.

@@ViaticalTree Poor cameraman gets blamed for a CZcamsr badly cropping a standard TV picture. Hint for anyone thinking about "reformatting" standard TV images to widescreen: Don't do it. BUT, if you do, don't center the standard image, or what happened in this video will occur. It's safer to push the image upwards as to not make people appear headless. Honestly, though, wasn't "scan and pan" a big enough artistic and aesthetic crime? Please leave videos in their correct aspect ratio.

In fact most of the kids who appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show, Beatles fame, were replaced due to getting bigger. Georgia was truly incredible and died much too young as did Davy who had one helluva life. Extremely photogenic and never could believe he was only 5'3. This is why I totally love CZcams!
