I'm in my 40s. In the 90s, Tekken 2 was one of the best fighting games when I was a teenager. Baek kick Combos was my favorite.

I'd argue Tekken 5 is more the birth of modern Tekken. According to most including Harada, Tekken 4 was a misstep for the series. I'd say that's harsh but it is what it is.
I believe 5 is. 4 still had that serious tone but they doubled down on it. Tekken 5 brought the goofiness back and went over board with each sequel.

I must be the only one who preferred - at least at the time - a slower gameplay of Tekken 1 and 2 over a faster combat from later entries. I was playing second game like mad, despite I also had Tekken 3.

I don't know, it might be due to server issues, since no one plays them they decide to close it, the same thing happened with Tekken Revolution.
@@GameEvolution4K probably yes. But back then they made a lot of good games compared to now. Since Tekken 8 has come out, they haven’t made a Tekken game for IPhone

Kazuya meets Jun in Tekken 2, it is impossible for this Jin in the first game.
Jin didn't make his debut, until Tekken 3. He's the offspring of both Kazuya and Jun.

Yeah, at some point they stopped evolving. They spend too much of the budget creating customization items now
Last tekken games are overloaded. Good fighting should be about reaction and battle iq, not stupid long combos and cinematic loser button.

Latest generation of Tekken (on PS5 and XBx) didn't look like Tekken anymore. Too much f*cking "fireworks"/explosions. Looks more like some Marvel sh*t than Tekken
I feel like Tekken 4 has the best designed models by far even if you compare to Tekken 8.
