I love how Devil Kazuya in the first tekken is basically Star Platinum
Haha yep, actually Kazuya and his devil form in T1 does take inspiration from Star Platinum. They ditch it in T2 by changing it to Devilman, another manga reference instead. They still keep the iconic Star Platinum glove tho.

I always loved how joyfull and psychotic Kazuya is in his tekken 1 ending, he smiles with glee and the song is so happy.
Kazuya is not really psychotic, be just oblivious and doesn't want to hear the stuff Heihachi exposed the truth about the feud and the Hachijos because all the horrible things his father and others did to him before the events of Tekken 1 and through Tekken 4. He doesn't trust anyone except for a few characters from his days of Tekken 2 because alot of people betrayed him even when he wasn't full control of his actions and blinded by Devil's manipulation.

The volcano is the real MVP, how it is still alive after all their fights and them being thrown into it is beyond belief.

@@radima263 not exactly taken, just when Jin was born apparently some of Devil's power went into him, hence we only got Devil Jin in cutscenes. 4's ending shows Kazuya beating Jin and reclaiming his full power.
Though idk if that's canon or not since Devil Jin is a prominent character since 5.

Jinpachi only has those powers because he died from starvation under the temple and was resurrected. I don't remember it stating that the devil gene came from him.

Just to let yall know the new form Kazuya gain in 7 is not his final form and is referred as a new form that Kazuya learned while being merged with Devil. The Tekken team confirmed that and he is also still in the learning process of discovering the secrets of the Devil gene. This merger however gives him the ambitions of himself and Devil aswell. With the merger he is also can use partial transformation in which he transform certain body parts or use some of Devil power in some cases, this is why you rarely see the form from Tekken 2 and Tag 1 that much because he doesn't needs it that much to defeat his foes.
what do you think will happen when kazuya gets jin's devil gene?
@@jamirvillarosa7924 if he accomplishes it, he will probably present Devil's goals to the world(but low key of how he acting from Tekken 4 when he regain most of control of his body from Devil by merging and knowing his plans and what he found about his parents and how the fued came about, he preparing his son to fight him one last time and destroy once and for all because he doesn't know what to do anymore and or want to live any further because deep down he thinks everyone despises him from the beginning... and when it comes to his son he doesn't hate him, and he knows he wants him dead because he was sources that made Jin's life miserable(supposedly) but Jin doesn't exactly knows the full truth yet and up to Harada-san give some proper closure to the Mishima fued that relieves alot of fans expectations.
So his true final form might end up being the one from Blood Venguence i quess
@@newhybrid101 well that's not canon because those events of that film never happened.... and Kazuya still doesn't knows the full potential of Devil gene yet the same with Jin because for one they don't how this devil gene came to be and are still struggling the reality of what Devil gene is doing to them as a whole.
Tekken team has no idea what the fuck they're doing. T3 intro and T4 shows it's clearly not a gene but an entity. Story has gone to shit since 5 where it became all fanservice.

Such a huge leap from Tekken 1 to Tekken 2. Tekken 3 then just blew everything else out the water. Tekken 4 was ok, it introduced walls and the force mode was pretty good. I think Tekken 5 was a polished summary of all the games before, good graphics, style and plenty of interesting characters
Indeed Tekken 5 is the epitome of the genre. Tekken 7 is good, but nothing beats the good old tekken 5 days.

I nice detail that they added in tekken 2 was to block with his wings but that got removed, and he later on kept his clothes and eye collor became normal.

I like that Kazuya is the saying "you live long enough to be the villain" because before Jin was introduced, I think he was supposed to be the main character and the good guy. And then he went obsessed with power, and it's up to his son and dad to beat some sense into him
Nah, even back in Tekken 2 it was clear that he was not good in any form. He only doubled down on the stuff Heihachi already had the Zaibatsu doing when he was in charge.

Honestly he animates the best in Smash, the limited use of the devil helps them animate the wings dynamically, sparingly.

In Tekken 4 Kazuya's ending he meets his son for the first time. And the first thing Jin wants to do is kill his father who he never met. And was raised by Jun and she got killed by Ogre and after defeating him he almost got killed by Heihachi.
Pretty sure Jun went missing. Never stated that she died or not.
@@JumugiDesunra In the late 90s, she was stated to be dead, then during Tekken 4, she was stated as "Unknown"
Tekken bloodline (despite not being canon tbh..) explains why jin didn't like kazuya despite never meeting him actually. It's because he was asking everyone what was he like, and almost everyone disliked him, then Paul Phoenix pretty much told him the full truth of what he witnessed... and also heihachi mentioning why he killed him in the first place.
So really, unless stated otherwise, I think this might be our (only) explanation for why he hated kazuya in tekken 4.
