Someone who used to professionally race 10th scale shortcourse trucks these slower rc vehicles are a great breath of fresh air.

I just got confirmation from WPL's tech-department that the trailer-truck is a 'go'. There's also a little jumper on the E1's esc/rx that needs to be set to have a single transmitter be able to control both the E1 and the trailer-truck, by just holding the bottom button for 2 seconds to switch between them. Neato.
Metal tracks are on their way too. This starts to look like óne seriously fun little toy.
Those hard mudguards got caught on your first indoor slope climb and outdoors where you said a crawler wouldn't have made it, if I get one of these, recycled bicycle innertube will be replacing the stock mudguards!
I think if you showed someone this RC vehicle with its scale realism and detailing, demonstrated its performance with the fully-proportional controls and then asked them how much it cost, they would be amazed that this is priced much less than some pathetic toy grade RC products. Great job WPL and I'm sure it will be a huge sales success.

It's looks pretty awesome. I'm impressed with how well it ran right out of the box. Honestly it looks like it needs a little bit of weight added to it from watching it run. It would be cool to see a metal track system put out for it

Yes, they have some really nice features and none of them are really that expensive for what you get

Soviet era vehicles have the best design, probably gonna get it and add it to the never ending queue of projects
The GT-SM on which the E-1 is based has a very interesting development history. If you have some spare moments, take a look at my WPL E-1 video and see how the real vehicle originated and the derivatives that are still in production today.

I love tracked vehicles so I bought one, still waiting for it to arrive. I am also very excited for the trailer pictured on the WPL E1 page definitely want one of those to carry my E1 around.

I got two WPL's...I replaced the batteries with some 2000mah lipos...fried the engine, fried the ESC. They are bad, I use the same lipos in a FAYEE jeep and it runs perfect for over 1 year.
Now yes I can see the all review ,did try watch at work on brack time but was very noisy could no hear ,but now yes I want one too Big up for WPL 👍👍👍
what i love about the wpls is there is an almost endless amount of tinkering you can do, years can be spent modifying them, unlike a lot of hobby grade stuff that is basically perfect out the box and just wants some stickers..
i cant afford the full on hobby grade anyway :P

honestly i think the people who hate on wpl just doesnt have a reference on cheap rc, they´ve gone straight into the $$$$ rcs and expect $$$$ performance out of a $$ car, while i still prefer my axial i bought used its pretty much just because its more trail friendly, wpls are small, lightweight and slow so they dont really work well for that but i still like them for a run on the garden, they are very capable vehicles for the money.
Absolute star this is far better than I thought it would be. Perhaps I should get one. What was the battery tester? and where do I get one thanks? WPL Fan.
This is the first wpl I actually kind of want. This is cool and I’m not really a fan of rc tanks

oh, for sure. I can see some added weight making it less bouncy along with weathering. First thing I'd do is get some desert tan wash for that white top. Then do a LOT of rust and weathering for the rest.

You wanna get that through some water mate, I have always found if you can get the flaps wet it will loosen them up a little and you won't keep getting stuck.
Yes. Needs a bit of foam or the ‘hull’ sealing before you can go in water

Ha excellent. I had pre-order (pre mass public? but not earlier as you mega team bros I'm sure) status so mine is on the way..supposed to arrive in two days..get here faster! Glad you've given a sneak peak since I wasn't exactly sure what to expect.
Right off the hop I'll say GOOD JOB WPL. the major issue with tracked vehicles is flipping the tracks off the road wheels. I'm actually surprised you didn't throw a track on your trial run. It must have a spur going up the middle of the track and grooves in the road wheels.
Edit: I spoke too soon, 9:51 and you threw a track. BUT you can't blame WPL, that was that rock inside the rear road wheel, not their fault.

I know im stupid excited for this!! Weve been waiting a long time!! Metal tracks and motor upgrades to support them, my own radio and receiver (heng long 6.0 probably), some lights, maybe the blue and white paint job their b24 variant is.. i may need a couple!! It definitely needs exhaust and sound!!

I’ve got the heng long m1 abrams and it’ll crawl steep but it gets grass and weeds stuck in the tracks bad

This is Madd Crazy! Impressive indeed. It even has mud flaps to aid in getting you fetched up ! WPL really didn’t miss many details on this rig. Although the canopy should maybe be a different color than white, something a little mor earthy. And a driver inside would definitely be a cool touch! Unless it’s an autonomous land drone!😂 they definitely hit the mark on this, and I stand with you as a “Fan Boy” 👊🏼😂🍻
First thing to come off would be those solid rear flaps

Think those flaps need to be replaced with a bit of cloth or just removed entirely, they seemed to get hung up on a lot of things. But that is a great little tracked rc, thanks for the review
Think this would be better with a bit of low weight to make the suspension move more scale and replacing the hard plastic mud flaps on the rear with real rubber so they dont grab things as you drive along, very cool looking tho!
hopefully they make some bigger scale cars in the future
RocHobby/FMS/EazyRC are doing larger scales....look out for a 1/10 Wrangler YJ from them
It's definitely a runner. And a climber. Was all good until the track came off. Glad it was an easy fix.

It’s really light, so probably some carefully placed weights inside would give it a little more traction on the dirt/loose terrain
I weighed mine at around 0.56kg ready-to-run. If you run it like this the suspension hardly reacts to bumps. I added some ballast into the cargo bay and the wheels moved better but then the vehicle isn't as nimble when driving.
