Death to smoochie, the Robin Williams character was trying to get him sent to prison Red Dragon he put people in prison and visited some of his old friends in prison. The hulk, if there was a prison that could hold him, they'd definitely put him in there ,just for all the property damage alone.
Rewatching this scene for the first time in a while. I normally don’t care for voice overs, but it really works here. It also gives Damon far more character motivation than 90% of films today. Worm not rolling over on him gave Mike law school, respectability, and a future upper class life. Mike should have walked away from Worm much earlier, but loyalty is huge.
I'd say it was the same reason he wanted to hold his cigarettes despite not smoking and them having very little value compared to in prison. It would cost him little to let them have it. They're his. No-one takes what's his without his permission, and he'll pointlessly fight for scraps. It's the same reason he was hustling those Russian mob guys later in the movie, and he doesn't want to lose their money back to them when Matt Damon's character tells them to, despite the risk / consequence of cheating them. It establishes Worm's character flaw that drives the plot of the movie.
If 🐛 was the last guy to play his opponent would know that he had the queen of spades. It’s the most important card and even the most novice players are aware of whether or not it’s been played. This hand is super unrealistic
I wish movies would protest real life instead of what Twitter wants to believe. In prison you don't do nothing outside your skin. The woods ONLY talk with woods, blacks with blacks, Norths with the Norths, etc. If you got something with another skin you bring it to the caller and he goes and talks to their shot caller. If you were friends outside, you ain't friends inside. You can give each other the universal guy nod but that's it. If ppl see you even handshaking they think you plotting and will move on you.
I heard it varies region to region, I've heard in some parts of the states you MUST dine with your kind, but that trading and playing games is cool as long as it doesn't start drama. In other parts I've heard that you don't even fraternize with anyone other than your kind.
So he keeps this toothpick that's SO important to him that he makes sure it gets bagged up in booking and to ask for it outta all his belongings after doing how many years in prison, just to chuck it onto the ground before getting into the car? Or is his first stop he makes to the toothpick store?
He's always cute and not only because it's Norton, I think I can't help but being attracted to his character in this movie, yeah he is kinda of a dick but what a dick...
Worm is a scumbag and the way he throw away those cigs when he could have left them with those inmates makes you feel no sorrow for his situation later in the movie
Love hearts, lots of stuff to watch out for. Elimination Trumps, 3 man trumps, Richman Poor Man, all the games we used to play in high school over and over😂
Maybe im just grabbing straws here, but worm had the tooth pick but didn't smoke. I'm assuming he use to smoke and quit by putting a toothpick as oral fixation. He tried to take people's smoke in prison to get them to stop bad habits. Even though he was walking example of a bad person.
Does anyone know what that toothpick looking thing is inside that plastic bag that the guard gives worm? I’ve always wondered what the hell that is! Anyone?
Norton played the scumbag worm perfectly in this movie.
🥊🥊
1:19 😘🤗🤫
I like how Edward Norton always plays a guy who goes to prison. Primal Fear, 25th Hour, Stone, American History X, this movie.
Indeed... he would end up in prison in "the score" as well. 5 movies in 7 years...
It's because he is a little punk.
probably should/would have gone to prison in fight club too
@@boidinktwistie4389 I think he did more illegal shit in that movie than all the rest combined😂

Holy shit that's Vernon from Wire 0:55. Took me like 10mins to figure out why he looked so familiar.
Oh damn, you're right. And the other guy is Dunn Purnsley from Boardwalk Empire.
62 ways for the peanut
Is it just me or does Norton reminds of Daniel Negreanu?
Not just you
its the other way around
Omg its not just me thank god
big time!
It’s just you.
Worm pissed me off so much during this movie lol
In the script, Worm was a heavy smoker, but I think Ed Norton talked the director out of it.
Its interesting to see 80s movies go from everyone is smoking a cigarette no matter what, to 90s movies taking a complete U turn.
This scene told you all you needed to know about him
Norton looks uncannily like Sam Rockwell at 1:43.
A young Dunn Purnsley
oh my god I knew Id seen that guy somewhere!!!
Purnsely be done
And the sports betting guy from the Sopranos was there too
Worm was a hustler and a cheat. Mike was a grinder. They were friends but very, very different.
Mind blown, never knew Mike was gay in the movie. Makes sense I guess that’s why it didn’t work out with the blonde girl
“Not in this lifetime Holmes…” - one of the best one liners in any movie
It's homes, not Holmes. Got nothing to do with Arthur Conan Doyle.
Cold of Worm to win all their cigarettes, then throw them in the garbage after the fact. Just cold.
He gave them back, was he suppose to walk to every cell and return cigarettes to everyone he had won from in the past several weeks?
1:34 ppl thinking that's him being a badass making sure his whole outfit is complete.
Me knowing he made them hold that just to be a pain in the ass.
Dude has a great dress code, you have to give him that.
Ah the good old days when you used to call every males homes.
I like how Worm has a tattoo of an Ace on his inner wrist. That way he always has an Ace up his sleeve.
Dude, he says that same line in the movie. How dumb do you think we are?
Ohh is that what that means. Always wondered
'Chitlins Con Carne" playing in the back...
Yes! But who’s version?! Its not the kenny burrell lp version!
Found it. Johnny lewis quartet. Soo good!
wowwwwwwwwww 46k hits and i quote this all the time we are old
Damn thats Purnsley from boardwalk empire, so many great character actors in this movie.
Was that like your strong finish?
Can't find the exact version of this song
Holy shit!!! That's the guy from the onion episode on prison economics
Let’s go to Big Dapp Rameriz for the updates....
Why did he care about the toothpick so much if he was just going to throw it away 10 minutes later?
You may note that he is very reckless in general.
I'd say it was the same reason he wanted to hold his cigarettes despite not smoking and them having very little value compared to in prison. It would cost him little to let them have it.

Permsley and the incredible hulk did time together. Who would've ever guessed.

Conspiracy theory. It’s how they got caught in the “municipal” game. That look at the end
When you leave prison you leave all items including smokes and food for the other prisoners. This is one of many unwritten rule.
not if you are a worm you don't
Yeah anyone with class leaves their stuff to a celly but I’ve seen people leave in their shoes and sweat suit if they have no change outs
