Not sure why Shannon was looking shocked she got beaten up yes she had some success but was forced onto the back foot on the ropes eating leather for most of the fight. Glad she lost!!

@@TimothyRice135 After the last round AJ demeaner spoke volumes, he went back to his corner sheepishly. Then the theatrics began, tossing his head back and squinting his eyes just so tired and relieved it was over. But when the results were to be read he pops right off the stool and walks to center ring all wide eyed. After the winner was announced he became animated as in " wait what, no that's wrong". This female did the same thing when the winner was announced.

The 2nd fight when he at his optimal weight his foot movement and reflexes were better and he was win comfortably rather than going through a complete war

Courtenay had already lost the title as she was overweight - I reckon Eddie got a refund from the judges and 2 of them then scored it properly.

She gained weight by coming on... How?
Your body can only retain weight from what passes through it, so if she was on weight Thursday afternoon, then how did the weight magic itself into her body? The weight is gained over about 5 days, it's mainly retained water, why not take the 2 hours to make weight?
She failed to get her weight low enough pre-dehydration. She did a massive harsh dehydration. When given the 2 hours she knew she couldn't dehydrate any more... Then she claims "womens problems" thinking men will go "urghh periods, shut up" and women will jump to her defense.
I don't understand why she would lie she still gonna fight anyway...so she just thought to throw her belts away when knowing gonna fight anyway
@@jshaw4757 The lie is meant to remove any negative opinions in relation to her failing. She failed to make weight, and needed to have a reason for failing. Saying I failed to maintain my weight, failed to reduce my weight before dehydrating, and as a result was unable to make weight just sounds unacceptable.
Boxers are the least like athletes of all sports. Do footballers start the season 50 pounds overweight? Marathon runners? F1 drivers? Tennis players? No, in all other sports athletes are athletes, but in boxing you have a lot of people who realisitically only want money for being famous and fame for having money, and beyond that, to do anything that's required to achieve that end is defined as a "sacrafice" and they all complain about actually having to do the work required to achieve the end.

@@80zbabyz yea easy to put on tough fights with unbeaten fighters when you have such a big stable of fighters like Hearn has. Dont think anyone else has ever had a bigger selection of fighters, certainly not in the UK anyway. Doesnt matter so much if a few of them take losses, theyll usually just move further down the next cards if they do, until they get back on a roll again

I don't dislike women's boxing, but the difference in skill levels is silly. Have a look at the DAZN Courtenay highlights video, it's not long. The level of some of her other opponents is crazy. Jamie Mitchell on the other hand is clearly levels above her, from a technical point of view, kept her shape, positive attitude and came to win. Congrats! đŻđđ„
This fight looked like an athlete against someone who eats a lot and never set foot in a Gym.

It's really a cracking fight actually! Marred a wee bit by Shannon's post fight, however a beautiful boxing display from Mitchell and SC had a few lovely overhand hooks. Another winner for women's boxing!

What bothered me the most the whole fight. Was that dumbfounded look on shannon's face when the verdict was announced. Like she was shocked she lost! You didn't just loose! You lost badly! And you lost twice! First on the scales. Then you got totally outworked. Even that judge that gave it a draw is insane! It should have been a unanimous loss! Congratulations to mitchell for putting in work at her age!

You know as a British female in boxing⊠and not awful to look at I started out following and supporting Shannon courtenay. But as time has gone on I have grew to really dislike her and her personality. She is cocky and arrogant when she hasnât earnt the right to be. She makes an excuse for everything under the sun. Sheâs not gracious in defeat. Deluded (genuine amazement on her face despite everybody knew she had lost) will 1000% make another excuse as to why this happened. Giving it the big one towards the end of a round during the fight when you were clearly being outclassed. I could go on and on. Personally Shannon run it back with ebanie bridges and if you lose that then just give up the game because theyâll be nothing in boxing for you sorry to say
