"It’s been 13 years since seven-year-old Kyron Horman vanished, shortly after showing off his science project at his school in northwest Portland, Oregon. His case captured the attention of people around the globe, resulting in a documentary and even a book by a New York Times best-selling author. But Kyron remains missing and his mother is still hoping to bring him home. On June 4, 2010, Kyron left for school with his stepmother, Terri Horman, looking forward to showing off his second-grade science project on tree frogs. The pair took Kyron’s father, Kaine Horman’s, truck to Skyline School that day. Terri didn’t normally drive the car but said she’d need it to bring Kyron’s science project back home. Terri snapped a picture of Kyron with his project, which she posted to Facebook that afternoon. But she said when she went to pick Kyron up from the bus at 2:30 p.m., he wasn’t there. The family called the school and the police. Later the FBI set up staging and search locations both at the school and at Kaine and Terri’s house. For the first nine days, police called the search a missing persons case but on day 10, they changed the scope to a criminal investigation." I’ve sent you his case a few times but haven’t heard back. This little boy was strangled and shoved in a freezer in the camper out back. They SA him as well. It was the step mother that was said to be the one to kill him. It’s taken 34 years but the😊 crime has finally caught up to them!

As a former elementary school teacher, I’m baffled that the teacher didn't question his absence.
His backpack and jacket were left in class at his desk and Teri and Kyron spoke to his teacher. So his bag and jacket still would've been on his desk throughout the day and his teacher had seen him yet he was marked absent. I wonder why this didn't raise any alarms and it took another 7+ hours before it was noticed he wasn't there. But, she marked him absent?
Even if you assume he went home after the science fair, you notify the office.
I don't know if Terri is guilty or not. I do know that the way the school operated that day allowed whoever took him to get away with it. If that was my child, I would have sued that school.

The fact that she claims to have told the teacher he had a Dr’s appt the following week, when school would have been out for the summer by then, is a much proof as I need. I agree. Why would Kyron's teacher say that the stepmom told her he wouldn't be in the class due to a doctor's appointment when the stepmom claims she never said that and knew it was the following week? Typically, a teacher would be concerned if a child's backpack was still in the classroom, but they wouldn't be unless a family member informed them they wouldn't attend. I am skeptical of the stepmom's story. While it's not a certainty, statistics show that the person who last saw the victim often has some involvement in the case.

Taking him to class gives her an alibi for her crime, as she is saying he disappeared from school, instead of the fact that she was the one that removed him from school! She PURPOSELY left his jacket and backpack there when she took him so that she could say that he was in school.. she wanted to blame the school. But the teacher knew where he was, he didn't disappear.. he was with his stepmom going to a doctor appointment, just like the teacher said.. An empty desk would have been immediately reported if the teacher didn't know where that child was. And why would the teacher even have to know about a doctor appointment the FOLLOWING week when school would have been out for the year? This woman is guilty!!

This was 100% Terri and Dede. Even watching her ‘comfort’ Kyron’s mom was hard to watch. It’s so easy to see that it’s not genuine. This woman needs to be brought to justice and finally give this poor family peace. I can’t imagine walking around free knowing you’ve committed a horrific crime. I just hope her guilt eats away at her to the point where she breaks. Time will tell. What a sad case. I also fully believe the teacher when she said Terri told her Kyron had a doctor’s appointment. I worked for the school board for over 10 years and I know for a fact that children do not just disappear. Terri absolutely told the teacher he had a doctor’s appointment. No doubt in my mind. As a teacher or support staff it is your duty to know where each student is and who they are with. Terri is a monster who must be brought down.

" Call 911 !!! Lock those doors no one can leave! My little girls missing!!!! !" An older woman customer began to cry!
It was crazy scary,I was serious!! I had to stop anyone from leaving that store! I needed cops now! I had my own red alert for a shut down ! I posted myself in front of the only doors to enter or exit! Everybody had to stop ! My daughters missing!!! I couldn't beleive the employee didnt know how to lock the front doors!
All 5'ft 2 "" of me I suddenly became an offensive front line! No one allowed through! Its an emergency!
I'd already made the employee call 911 ...I asked the checker lady WTH ?? This place doesn't show their people how to lock the front doors? What are you to do in an emergency here?
With No time to waste and assuming the store just had nothing to help me find my little girl, possibly abducted! Wth no protocol for a missing kid- mere seconds into panic mode after frantically searching in the clothes racks, calling out her name,i had to take charge, knowing the very first few minutes are crucial after a child's goes missing! Later on,
Apologizing to the cop that came,he said,to me as my "surrendered hide and seek little girl sheepishly stood by my side," he said smiling,"Its okay! I knew I'd either find a relieved Mom or the very worst, and I'd rather find this! "
I really was so sorry I that my antics made the soft hearted lady in the checkout line cry - when we both panicked and we couldn't find Cassee hiding inside that round rack of clothes, and she wouldn't answer!
But my daughter totally knew from then on,best not to "scare or worry my momma"cause she saw that day,I shut The Dollar Store down,it doesn't matter what it takes,I will do whatever I've got to do to keep her safe, and I know no shame, and I am not one bit scared of anything- when I think somethings wrong with my child, WHATEVER I've GOT TO DO,I WILL DO IT-she knew I'd paint my entire body red and run naked through the whole state -if thats what it took to ensure that she made it safely into adult hood! My happy go lucky Mom can turn psyco serious real quick when it comes to my safety and well being

This case is very strange. From what I’ve read , Kane was cheating on Desiree when she was pregnant with Teri. That ended the marriage. I live nearby and have seen much on this case . He then continued on with Teri and married her. It’s bizarre that a Gardner told Kane, Teri had wanted to hire a hit man to kill him . Why wasn’t Teri arrested then? How could Teri’s friend she went to see and then drive around with go along with this disappearance of Kyron? She could be charged with accessory to kidnapping or murder. Teri and her daughter were signed into the gym and daycare that day. The baby was sick with an ear infection is why she drove around after she dropped Kyron off she said. To calm the baby . Nothing makes sense in this case and Kane’s behaviour odd. Everyone is pointing at Teri but where’s the evidence ? I’m not saying she had nothing to do with this but there is a lot of strange behaviour in this story and it’s difficult to accuse someone with no evidence.

“Some of us panic if they don’t return a text in a certain amount of time” Me, that is me! My son will be 21 in February and I still panic if he doesn’t return a text! If he is busy, he sends me a heart so I know he got the text and is ok. I do the same for him. Eliminates the worry on both sides. How my parents survived me moving to Los Angeles in the 80s for college with no cell phones is beyond me 😂

This reminds me of another case where a young stepmother who married a divorced man was jealous of his young son whom they had for weekends and holidays. Shen resented the boy and the time and attention his father gave him. She arranged for a friend of hers to pick the boy up from school on some pretext and he was taken to a car where the stepmother was waiting. They drove away and the stepmother got in the back seat and beat the boy and strangled him to death then they disposed of his body. In this case the friend was the weak link and she ended up confessing after an intense interrogation. They both went to prison. What was really sad was that the boy knew his stepmother hated him and was mean to him. As much as he loved his father he did not want to go on weekend visits and he used to cry and beg not to go, and his mother hated sending him but by law she had to and there was nothing she could do to prevent it. I think if kids are reluctant they shouldn't be forced to go......and his father should never have left him alone with the stepmother when he had to work some weekends and holidays, having only the evenings to spend with his son. He should have looked more into why his son didn't want to come and not subjected his son to the stepmothers abuse. He divorced her after this........I can't imagine being jealous of a stepchild. I've dated guys with kids, some who had full custody, and I had kids of my own. Apart from occasional dates going clubbing etc, most of our dates were with the whole family together watching movies at home and getting pizza either at my place or his. We also knew it wasn't our place to try and parent the others kids.....we weren't living together so that wasn't our responsibility.

Thank you for covering this! It is so heartbreaking that he still hasn't been found and his family doesn't have answers after all of these years. I don't have a big following on tiktok but I made a video about Kyron's disappearance about a year ago and Terri saw it. She accidentally liked the video and then almost immediately blocked me. Was definitely unsettling, I still truly believe she was involved and it makes me sick that she's just off living her best life while his parents are still looking for him to this day.

Oh my gosh in that press conference where Kyron's stepdad is talking to the family I cannot believe that Terry has the balls to be holding on to kyron's real mother like that when she knows she's the one that did something to him. What a sick and twisted individual.

I felt the same way but I also didn't care for how the stepfather sounded more emotional than Kyron's dad did. To me, the stepfather sounded broken up and like he was trying his best to hold it together while Kyron's dad sounded more like an official giving a statement. I'm not saying that the dad was involved but I didn't like how little emotion I saw from him, kinda made me feel like he knew something - maybe he knew/ felt deep down that Terry had done something horrible and didn't want to give it away 🤷‍♀️

Thank you for covering Kyron. His case still brings me to tears. If you knew the area and school taking Kyron seemed impossible. The only way I can see how it worked is if the stepmother took him. He didn't at all seem like a boy who would wander off. He would have been found. This was a huge, sustained search.

I live in the area and this has never left the local eye. Terry did something to him. She took him from school. She had motive, means, and opportunity. Justice needs to be served on her... also... small note... its pronounced SO-Vee Island... but otherwise thank you for putting this out to the world. I was a member of the gym she went to and after this happened there was a wall put up in the parking lot with postings from people and images and support to find him... SHE DID IT. There are still signs with his face everywhere you go... people will never stop looking... sadly I don't think there's much left to find but closure for his parents.

Where is all the camera footage from the school? From the stores and gym Terri supposedly went to that day? The teacher that said his step mom came in and took him early from school for a dr appointment, she can’t describe what this said step mom looked like? She can’t look at Terri and say yes that was her or no that wasn’t the person who picked him up early. I have soooo many questions that I feel like are no brainers.
Also too, why didn’t they use search dogs? Cadaver dogs? We’ve seen true crime videos about people that have been missing for decades and their bodies have been found literally right under the floor of their homes, or buried in the backyard, or under the house in a crawl space. Are there any places like that at the school where he could’ve gotten stuck and died?

While exploring an abandoned tunnel in Chinatown, we found a picture of kyron , like an actual printed photo of kyron that you literally cannot find anywhere on the internet(obviously we took it to the police department ). My best friends bf, he hikes frequently, he was the one who brought in his backpack. I remember so clearly, being 7 or 8 driving up to Portland and seeing the billboards, people had it written on their cars. This case will always weigh so heavily on my heart

@@am74343 imagine how I feel bro I’m from Portland Oregon and am the same age as kyron off by 3 months. This story haunts me gang his family literally came to my school when everything first happen and had a speech assembly thing, the police have All (everyone who was there) number incase there’s any questions for us. Portland is one of the top sex trafficking states in the US, we all have no idea how or why it was there, but it was, and that in itself is haunting

I find it very hard to believe that he disappeared from school without a trace. I believe that evil stepmum took him, and hurt him 😢 there's no way a child would disappear from school without a trace. I also find it strange how she felt the need to share his school project pictures on social media very quickly, and the fact that she told the teacher he had a dental appointment that day, he goes missing from school, then all of a sudden she says no I said it's next week. She did it!! I pray to God she's found out and thrown to the depths of hell
