They're so down to earth/grounded. Look fab. Sara sounds like Jennifer Saunders, imo.

French and Saunders parodied them once. I'm sure you can guess who Jennifer impersonated

I adore Sara & Keren and it's fun to hear their picks. Funny thing is that "Take My Breath Away" by Berlin was #1 for only one week in the USA in 1986.

Take My Breath Away actually only spent one week at # 1 in the US and knocked Venus by Bananarama off the poll position after one week as well.

Cruel Summer beats all the songs you both mentioned I think personally...but I suppose you can't mention your own songs. You both still look fabulously amazing...and I want to marry you both...so when's it guna happen.😃

To me, they were the sexiest group of the 80s. I heard a rumor is one of my favorite. The girls make that song exciting. I still don't see any female band to rival them in the decades that followed.

The original third Bananarama (Siobhan Fahey) left in February 1988, where have you been? She only came back for the reunion tour 2017/18 and never said she would stay. She started her own Shakespears Sister comeback afterwards. And her replacement (Jacqui O'Sullivan) left in summer 1992. That means Bananarama have been far longer a duo than a trio, almost 30 years a trio now versus eleven years a duo beforehand.

@@tmdp76Yes, they did. They invited Siobhan for a "Heaven" gig around 2002 They even did the "Original Line-up Tour" with her in 2017/18. Still Siobhan isn't considered a permanent member anymore since spring 1988.
