I'm back with a new video on how you can start working on your raid armor RIGHT NOW! The hyper utility of legendaries are really worth it so I hope you watch and start acquiring some of these things as they will help you further down the road.

@@lesliepolar I think this video is very helpful because it’s pointing out that 3/4 of the work required for Raid armor can be completed before you even start doing the Raids. I’m half way through the Raids and have my first Envoy armor set, but I still need a ton of the HoT map currencies, so I wish I had seen this video sooner.
@@davidmorris2234 understand where u coming from usually people already know about this but not all raid is like the hardest to get not saying that everyone will have the same skill and is like most people are not that talented like me instant I got accident on my hand when I doing my dps rotation my hand will jam half way and my dps drop then people will kick me out of the raid so is sad 😔 that people just wanted speed run I know is not an excuse people still can improve but can say most of the time is they wanted experience people and what build THEY wanted and thier play style thier build.. let's say strike Misson don't say about raid even strike Misson people wanted experience people they don't even want to help those newbies I played for 2 years 8 month when eod released I played back not long ago I doing the turtles need strike Misson I waited for 4 days finally saw a few of new player wanted to do strike Misson for the turtles luckily found 9 new player I just see what CZcams said and guided them yeah and also my first strike after 2years 8 months and they the newbies thank me like I was most experience player in that strike Misson that tell me alot experience people don't even bother the new player
@@davidmorris2234 not saying that this video is bad he has a big point and I don't hate the game I am fps gamer not mmo never ever played mmo befor this is my first mmo what make me play gw2 is the game play I love gw2 is my first mmo trying to improve but it give me this impression gearing up is hard experience people will get all the new content newbies will be stuck just look at most youtubers they always said is easy and always give builds to play when you choose the build not pve but raid build when u join raid they didn't want that build so the number one question is how many build do u need for a character just to do raid for newbies good luck
@@lesliepolar If you're having a rough time pugging raids (when you join a group using the LFG), an alternative would be finding a friendly guild that knows about your dps fluctuation and will be fine with it. Gearing up in GW2 is more casual than any other MMO I've played. It still has some grindy elements, of course.
3:40 I also want to say as a tip that Patriarch is soloable! All you have to do is stand directly under him between his legs and move to stay in that spot when he moves. He can't hit you there with any of his attacks :)

The title is certainly misleading but I understand the point and the information that you are sending people, especially since the raids are essential to obtain the armor, but the rest of the steps are also important and it is something that you can start doing before starting in the raids.
Legendary armor is Raid locked though :( You cant get around that. The title is a little misleading.
The title says working on your raid armour without raiding, These are all of the components you can work on without raiding.
@@iwantmmore That's barely more than just semantics. Maybe it's my fault that I thought I could get the finished armour pieces without raiding after reading the title, but I'm not going to be the only one, that's for sure.

It is actually pretty misleading and this guy knew ppl will click on this one just because they imagine a way of crafting these armors without actually raiding. It is actually a cringe clickbait that wasted my time.

This game really needs a small scale PvE legendary set. Many people don't want to raid, and may not be PvP/WvW type players either and are locked out of legendary equipment.
we should be able to get a legendary set from 100% map completion + crafting or something,for us world pve enjoyers

I admit coming here because I thought I could do legendary armour without raids. But if you read carefully it does say work towards your legendary armour. That said, many of us coming here is because we don't want to do raids simply the fact you have so many people in raids that only want experienced players or with certain type of play or whatever demands, casual players can't get into it. That's what I hate about these kinds of stuff. Same goes for getting the turtle. I can't get a group because they keep kicking me out because they want a certain type of player, while it's meant for getting the turtle not for just farming. Is also why I stopped doing dungeons. I used to do only caudecus manor because I could help players get through it with skips and stuff, so anyone could just come along. I couldn't be bothered doing the other dungeons. Still it is a helpful guide for people who actually want to do this after all.
Casual players can get into raiding, but you cannot expect to play casually in neither instanced PvE content. Both Strikes and Raiding requires you to know what your class is capable of doing, and people will ask you to do it.
You can't expect people to accept a player that has no intention to contribute with the squad into raid/strikes, this is not clearing content with your group, it is being carried by your group.
If you want to get into raiding/strikes/high tier fractals, I recommend searching about your class, the boons it can provide and how to heal/dps/share boons with it. Train with the training golem, get secure of yours own gameplay.
When you're sure you're capable of handling your own, look for training groups. In-game LFG can be a hassle to find groups like that (specially if you're not into making your own groups), I recommend searching for discords made to help new-players on raiding, give a shot in training runs, learn the fights, enjoy your time, be focused and contribute to your teammates. Congratz, you will become a experienced player in no time, and will be asking why were you so prejudiced with something not that much problematic.
hi, i still do not understand how do you make Gift of Prowess without raiding, because you need for that the legendary insight, you made in the clip just 3 components
Hi! this video shows you the parts to work on without raiding as per the title, so at 8:00 I mentioned that you have 3/4 done and waiting for when you do raids.
Isnt it true that we can earn insights now through challenge mode strikes?
it's very interesting since WvW's leg armor can be done 100% in that mode only... but then again, I believe it's the fractal version that awards a complete set? or is it the fractal one?
Edit: as pointed out I was tripping, there's no fractal leg armor set, only a leg backpack
No Legos in fractals besides the backpack, that I know of bro.

The difference is that WvW is a 22 week, approximately 3-4 hours per day time gate to get only the tickets needed for a full set. Then you still need all the other materials for the gifts. Even worse if you haven't yet unlocked the precursor items yet.
So, basically you DO need to do Raids!!

Wow! This video sure triggered a lot of players who don’t do Raids and have a bad impression about the players who are playing Raids. I used to be intimidated and afraid to try Raiding, until I tried it myself.
Great video and I wish I could have seen this before I started playing Raids, so I would have been better prepared for all the HoT currencies that I need.

It can misinform players as you will still need to complete raids and raid collections to finish the armor. But you also need many other things and that is where this guide is doing a good job on.
Imagine sitting through a 10 minute video of someone slowly regurgitating info from the wiki only to realize that the title, while not an outright lie, is barely tangentially relevant to the content in the video. The logical title would've been "How to Work Towards Your Legendary Raid Armor, EXCEPT FOR the Raiding Bits Because I'm Lazy and I Don't Care to Put That In". Also, the infinitive "to" is lowercase in title case, so he's not just misleading people, he's doing so with broken English. I absolutely hated this monumental waste of my time and I hope whomever is responsible will suffer as I did.
This is very click baity as no matters what items I need from pve end results of the same that being I still need to grind raids to finish the armor thuse it's still locked behind raids.
The tittle does say "how to work on it outside of raids" not "get it without raids." The dude provided good info on the steps necessary to complete the armor OUTSIDE of raiding.

Alright so, [technically] you still need to raid no matter what. That being said, I genuinely had no idea one would need so many things [outside] raids for legendary armor, so thanks a lot for sharing this. Great video

I'll save you 9:35 minutes. The title is clickbait. Raids is a MUST for PVE Legendary Armor. In order to get the precursor and key materials for crafting Raids is a MUST. This guide is just a walk through the additional materials needed for crafting the legendary armor.

You still need to run raids in order to open up the Refined Armor achievements otherwise you can't make them. This is so misleading.
I am on the other side of the story: after doing half a year of raids I was like "Oh look, I can do legendary armor! So convenient and easy to do."
Why would you want to not do raids as a pve enjoyer?
Because raiders are like; 'ftryvj dps heu b yk bxi quck' and expect you to rock up and know what that means. And also please show 500 LI before coming.

I understand if you lack to ability to communicate with people to gather information on how to effectively support a team into completing a goal such as raiding.
Let's not make generalized statements of out of 1 bad encounter you've had in LFG.
Get educated on what Quickness and Alacrity does for your group, look up a build while you're at it and practice a rotation and you'll be set to be a productive member of any team.
All the energy you're spending complaining could be used on "getting good."

@@VII_Spiritual and FYI I've been on gw2 since the 3 day headstart. I have a quickness fb, Harr druid, alac Ren. Several raids in, have every proff at max and some with few proffs at max. Several legendary items. So your lack of ability to communicate kindly and with respect shows you're a complete asshole and nothing more.

So you intentionally forgot to said that the basic item you need to make the legendary you can only get it making the envoy armor archivement... that needs raids.. Of course you do not need raids to make the gifts... what an useless guide

Raids sucks and I am glad that anet stopped doing content about it. I play GW2 not for raids. If I raid, I better play other MMOs. I'm glad Anet introduced Strikes and are focusing on it now instead of Raids.

@@SalamanderSucksatGames I think I'm starting to get it. So what he meant is to gather mats beforehand, so you can craft the armor immediately after doing the raid achievements? If that is the case, using the word "Without raiding" is still misleading
