I have the Blue version that's automatically controlled by a screwdriver thermostat and I absolutely love it I think they're one of the best attic fan companies ever
Energy savings, my old single speed fan cost .05 cents an hour to operate, the green model costs On low speed, .0074 cents per hour Middle speed .02 cents per hour On high speed, it's. 05 cents per hour. My electric rate is .35 cents per kwh
Our insurance company canceled our insurance, do to the roof being 20 years old, the roofer suggested that we have a ridge vent. It's been 30 days, and several 100° days sence the new roof. The gable fans have yet to come on, inside the house stays cool all day, no air conditioning. The hottest the attic has been is 115°. We also have r66 insulation in the attic
So i see you have the same issue I'm having which is my gable vents are smaller than the size of the fan itself. Does it seem to cause issues with putting extra stress on the fan?
it absoolutely will put more stress on the fan min opening per the manufacturer is 14 square , otherwise the the fan is orking against its self and will burn out the motor
JUST A HEADS UP - THE OPENING IS WAY TOO SMALL , if you look at the blades theres a good 6 in on the bottom that arnt doing a thing , and afew inches on BOTH sides Minimum opening per manufacturer is 14 sq; other wise the fan is working against its self and will burn out the motor , those rubber tabs are vibration dampners
Yes, those small tabs are isolators.
Thank you so much. It's an awesome idea to pair it with your phone before installing it in the attic 👊👍
Supposed to put the rubber tabs between the wood and the fan. It stops vibrations. Reduces the noise.
I did, but still noisy. The fan itself isn’t well balanced and running on its own can make lots of noise

What was the temp in the attic after the fan was working?
I would like to know too, do you notice an energy savings? Thanks for video
I have 2 green models, fans, on 104° outside temperatures, my attic is 114° or less
