These 3 men were living in Edmonton for 3-5 years as Indian nationals with non permanent status by reports. So were they here as international students or on work visas?

How are Nijjar and Canadian government linked. Why was the RCMP chatting with Nijjar before he got killed? Something seems off with all these events.
Canada was warned by intelligence intercepts from our allies which includes the USA that his life was in danger so RCMP told him of the threat which they are legally obliged to do under Canadian law. Intercepts turned out to be true as you can see from the results.
