This trend goes through several arcs till there is an instance where nobody holds him back and he actually gets to one of the main enemies, and gets in a good hit...

"Call of the sea" is an ultimate excuse to abandon everything you love just to be prominent in the story
I’m surprised Tekking didn’t have Rebecca join too, since Koby is on the crew just so he can canonize Kobecca.
Also, with how long Dressrosa is, I think it would've been fine to have two people join, that way you don't separate Kyoros and Rebecca, and you can then make Kobecca canon, and maybe have some fun dynamic of Kyoros being an overprotective father that doesn't want his daughter to date Koby, but eventually warms up to him.

@@animeguy1101 Exactly, I don't know what specifically he was so set on only taking one crew mate aside from the Grand Fleet when many arcs had multiple, just because they were package deals, well I'd say at the end of Dressrosa Kyoros and Rebecca are very much a package deal, I mean, they already had made all the preparations for Rebecca to not have to be a princess so she can just live with her dad, so it's not even like she has to stay like Vivi did, basically, it didn't matter where they lived as long as they were finally together.
@@Zet683 I feel like Hachi should have joined as well with Camie as a package deal too. He went ahead and added a second mermaid and has four giants so why not another Fishman at this point.

Let's be honest, Luffy would have been a Yonko a long time ago if he had this crew. Ace probably wouldn't have died in this case too

Yep, Crocus and everyone that Luffy recruits that knows Haki would just teach the rest of the crew how to get stronger throughout all of the pre-timeskip arcs. They'd play a huge part in MarineFord too since AT LEAST a few other members of Luffy's crew would most likely rally with Luffy to go to raid the war.

Yeah they’d probably be able to beat the Pacifistas, but I’m not sure they’d be able to hold off Kizaru for long enough to escape.
And the story would've been extremely boring if that were the case. The length of the show is what compliments it. Makes Luffy's progress that much more believable.
With this crew, they'd get the One Piece in less than a year. Boodle, Gaimon, and Laboon would form the *True* Monster Trio.

I think Koby's dream would be to discover the secrets of the World Gov't and reveal them to the public, since he now believes the marines are a corrupt organization. Then, once the story was over & the crew disbands, he would become one of the leaders of a new Marine organization (similar to how the current story seems to be heading).
Gotta wonder how big Luffy's bounty would be with this kind of crew, let alone the collective crew bounty.

Oimo and Kashi were also part of Dorry and Broggys old crew and were only working for the World Government because they thought the two had been captured and they were working off their debt so they could be released. So seeing their old captains with the Straw Hats would have them join up in a heart beat.
and, imagine the strawhat pirates learning rokushiki from smoker and tashigi, emphasis on the giants learning that plus observation and armament haki. oh, the white dog might end up being hatori's antagonist protecting the world from total destruction.

I think the word you're looking for with Boodle and Vivi is "Quartermaster". You know how Nami has to direct the crew constantly bark orders to make sure the Grand Line weather doesn't eat them alive? That's not the navigator's job. The quartermaster is the one that shouts and coordinates the crew.
Ipponmatsu is Zoro's wingman. It would be hilarious seeing him "assist" in boosting the Zoro-Tashigi relationship. Of course, Oda wouldn't force it, but for comedic effect I definitely wouldn't put it past him to do this.
When Zoro doesn’t kill Tashigi in Logue Town and she ask if it is because she is a woman, Ipponmatsu just appears and says “No, my dear. I’ve seen many a swordsman wield their sword the way he did just now. This is not because you are A woman.” *grabs her shoulders and starts crying* “This is because you are HIS woman!”

Let me paint you a picture. At the Florian Triangle, the crew is separated and half needs to break into Thriller Bark, including Laboon.
When Laboon gets in and meets Brook, he's elated. Then he's angry hearing what they did to his friend. So he jumps up, bites Oars, and drags him into the sea.

imagine if anyone who laid foot on the Merry or Sunny at some point automatically joins the Straw Hats, so like Katakuri, Perospero, Pedro, Carrot, Yonji and Reiju join in Whole Cake Island, that'd be hilarious, imagine the arc going 180 because Katakuri and Perospero change sides for no reason, they could iterally go back and take down the rest of Big Mom's crew

I kinda forgot to mention this in part one, but in long ring island the straw hats had a Davi Back Fight. So they could have taken people who weren’t Foxy. (It’s not like I wanted Porcha to join for anything)
I think Tekken puposely didn't mention the Davi Back Fight because he hates it so much 😂

If Luffy actual got a crew this size he would have an actual pirate crew size.
One piece would probably be more chaotic but if Oda was as good at writing like the Arthor of durarara or fate strange fake then this size of a cast could work.
