- Watch this charming CGI animated short film by the talented Susan Yung, Emily Springer, and Esther Parobek @ Ringling College of Art and Design! "Runaway" is a charming story about a misunderstanding between a man named Stanley and his treasured 1950"s refrigerator, named Chillie. Set in the present day, a sad event sends Chillie into a whirlwind of emotional turmoil, and as a result, he runs away. For more information about this film, please see below:

I love this! The only problem is it ends! I don’t want it to end! Though I guess it would be a bit hard to animate for all eternity, so I’ll let it slide. All in all, my favorite animation! (And if someone can make this into a full length movie, I’d watch it! 😁)

I don't know what's wrong with me, but this makes me want to keep all my old stuff. I don't care what others say about me, but this makes me emotional.
It's really touching. Me and family will move to a new house so there are lots of things to throw away. Watching this is making me thinking twice of replacing those stuffs. There are too many memories with them. I'll be missing them.. I think this is what people meant as they say we actually make relationships with our belongings.

Since toaster is loved by so many, mind if I stop by with a little fanfiction about it?
(And yes I wrote it to be a toaster not a fridge, because I read the comments about toaster-chan first)
Day in...day out. Standing between the two mighty fridges, waiting for the day to come, where someone, anyone would finally get it out of that store and take it home to it's forever home. A loving place, maybe a retired person, who liked their toasts just the perfect golden color with some home made strawberry jam. It could become friends with the cup of tea the person liked to have. Green tea. Not to hot, not to cold...or maybe a family would take it home. With three kids and very hecktic mornings. Toaster could be in charge for all the wonderful breakfast toast and the lunch toasts the kids would take to school! Or maybe he'd move in with some college kids. Young girls who were smart and loved to experiment....not on Toaster mind you! But maybe she liked to cook and it could become friends with all the pots and pans. Maybe there would be some artistic guys and give it a really cool paint job!

Toaster couldn't hold back a sigh. The fridges next to it showed of their best side. Sparkling and shining like the lamps outside when it got dark.
It was a rather chilly day out. At least Toaster assumed so, because people wore layers of clothing. It was then, that it recognized someone. The ridge guy! He hoped they found each other again. Maybe Toaster could ask? It couldn't really talk but...Oh! Oh Fridge guy really came over.
"Hey, little guy. Thank you for helping us out the other day! I found my fridge thanks to you." The guy whisperd.
Toaster felt relived. It was happy it could help. It was nice to know that Fridge had such a loving home. It really deserved it.
"Say Toaster, you wouldn't know any...toasters who might want to help me out with some toastng, would you?"
Toaster couldn't belive what it heard and before it knew what happened, it found itself on a counter, being smiled at by that certain mint-green fridge which escaped not to long ago. On it's chest a picture hang showing Fride, Toaster and the Guy.
