  • Welcome Period Six Designs!
    This is my little YT channel where I share my love of crafting with the world. As requested, I am trying out the new Crystalac Grande Finale. Crystalac recently released this Grande Finale epoxy alternative glitter tumbler top coat and I wanted to see if this was better, worse or about the same as using their Brite Tone product. Watch the video and find out my exact thoughts and let me know what you think below!

    Well, I love your video as always. Colors are gorgeous and you always seem to combine mixes of fine and chunky very well. I was quite surprised to see you go with all those layers. The "Wet it and Forget it" is misleading to me. You totally rock your epoxy and your items come out smooth and very shiny. I do not think this is a product I will be purchasing any time soon. Thanks for checking it out for us. Your skills are much appreciated and we know your struggles are real. Stay safe and well.

    Ok. Now hold up. I think I have screwed up. I just received the Crystalac Grand Finale today. I hope I didn't waste my funds. What is Bright Tone? Is it something that you used to keep the glitter in place. Like a sealant to keep the glitter from shifting around?

    I used to use BT and I love it, but cant deal with 4hrs between layers. I am trying Hyperion and ugh, you can see like wrinkles in it and I have sanded twice. Alot of people are so disappointed with GF and Hyperion.

    • @PeriodSixDesigns
      @PeriodSixDesigns  Před 2 lety

      really...ok so its not just me...I think the biggest issue is that I at least was under the impression that it would be a lot less layers and a less time but I think its still a similar amount of layers you just can do them quicker

    Hi Monica my question is when putting resin on the tumbler you have to sand the tumbler? Or is that only because you are using another product? Like the quick tone and the stuff you use in this video? I love your channel

    • @PeriodSixDesigns
      @PeriodSixDesigns  Před 2 lety

      I think sanding is just good practice. as far as epoxy you might can get away with not sanding if your layers come out perfect but with brite tone you kind of have to

  • @carolhanson3893
    @carolhanson3893 Před 2 lety

    I did not like brite tone on chunky glitter at all. I like it on holographic or paint/inks, easy to use & safer than resin. But nothing beats a resin finish, when resin behaves,lol. Almost ordered this & now I won't waste my time, so thank you. It is too spendy to use a 1/4 on one cup& still not be pleased with the results. And yes, the brushes soak up a TON of product.

    • @PeriodSixDesigns
      @PeriodSixDesigns  Před 2 lety
