Steve Williams was a legit badass, in the 80s, early 90s. He got put into a boxing match in the late 90s. While injured. It was a shitshow. Bart Gunn is also a badass, and was 10 years younger, or so than Doc. Age catches up to us all.
But Bart Gunn was easily knocked out by Butterbean, so that totally ruined that angle.
The appeal of pro wrestling is due to it being fixed. It is great to have realistic looking MMA-type moves, but I don't want wrestlers to get legit hurt. If you want that, you can watch MMA, instead.
No.10: meh, I’ve seen worse.
No.9: Understandable.
No.8: this one wasn’t that bad, bit botchy but that’s it.
No.7: the only thing that was bad here was the ending.
No.6: yea, this was completely understandable.
No.5: wouldn’t say it’s the worst.
No.4: Yea, kinda.
No.3: definitely one of the worst.
No.2: Well.. It is Heroes of Wrestling so what did you expect.
No.1: No.2 was worse
Hogan burning off his own eyebrows always cracks me up 👍👍👍👍
Anything with David Arquette
Personally I’d say Undertaker vs Goldberg is my pick.
I felt bad for sting having to wrestle a boxer. Wtf ?
Wars games was a huge cluster fuck.
While none of these matches are good, lets get real. There are two or three matches a week on AEW TV that are far worse than any of these.
I don’t know how that ref didn’t accidentally get hurt in that cage match.
I know it’s cut but the edit of “vicious has got that...thing” is awesome
Uncle Elmer vs. Adrian Adonis Wrestlemania 2.
A match so bad I forgot it existed until I read your comment
No AEW matches on the list. Funny.
zip it you haven't a clue
That Sting match wasn't bad for its time
Where the hell was taker vs goldberg
I don't agree with Meltzer on a lot of things. But I'm fine with this list.
Brian Zane described #2 as four old guys fumbling around looking for their keys
the night stalker refuses to sell to Sid. That hasn`t ended well before....
I knew the psychology was all wrong in the match.
How can Piper vs Mr T be on this list this list? This is the 10 worst wrestling matches and Piper/T that was a boxing match
Gave Kenny Omega seven stars and rated a Johnny Gargano match above Flair vs Steamboat, ergo anything he says at this point can be dismissed out of hand as the rantings of a delusional old fossil.
Why take him as a great authority? He has no respect in wrestling circles.
the opposite is true actually
Tenta seems to have been in a lot of shoot situations.
Japanese guys resented him for being a foreigner who became reasonably well established in sumo in under a year. He got ungodly press coverage over there because at the time was only the 3rd Caucasian in the history of sumo.
@@bigron8896 Also Koji Kitao was a former yokozuna who had been thrown out of the JSA for refusing to respect the behavioural code. Tenta as a sumo wrestler only made it up as far as Makushita (the third division) though as a late starter he was rising rapidly. The problem was that he would have been required to remove his tattoos via skin graft to enter the top two divisions where the big money is, and he wasn't prepared to do that so retired.
Kitao as a former yokozuna, the highest rank possible at the top of the 'sanyaku' ranks (the named ranks at the top of division 1, before it becomes rank and file within the division) also resented being told to fight as equals with somebody who never rose above division 3 in sumo, even though both were long gone from the sport, as it would look bad on him.
I'm picking twinkle toes olivier vs a school girl hasn't made creepy daves list.
Who can ever forget the Lex/ Brody steel cage match. I laughed so hard when lex climbed the cage and ran from Body what a shit show
Seems unfair to grab a fan out the audience and then make him wear boxing gloves for a wrestling match against Sting.
YOU GOTTA G-R-A-B T-H-E-M C-A-K-E-S
Don't know what's worse that song or the "Piledriver" song.
Every diva match is like that
Intro sound effects sound like Pyramid Head is comin' for us...
whoever booked sheiky vs the bushwhackers has a sick sense of humor. they walk exactly the same!
I thought taker/Kane Vs HHH/Hbk would be on here somewhere. It was one of the worst I'd seen in a good while. :( shocking.
Fingerpoke of doom not even top 10? That stupid doomsday cage match wirh Abdullah the Butcher in the electric chair not in top 10? Lawler vs Cole? Gayda & Nowinski vs Stratus & Bradshaw? STING VS JEFF HARDY not on the list?!?
This list is abiut as bad as Kurt Angle never getting a 5 star match.
For shame, Meltzer the Melt.
For shame.
I still say undertaker vs King Kong bundy at westlemania is the worst match I’ve ever seen, although a lot of these rival it as the worst ever.
All of these are pretty notoriously awful, not so much Meltzer opinion as general consensus.
Jenna definitely put the "Ass" in "Morasca."
Anything in America not aew
That last match was Bette than the first 9
How is 99% of hornswoggle matches not on this list. How is 22 weeks in a row of the same match with the same result not of the list angle vs cena, how is Gerald Biscoe vs Pat Patterson evening gown match not on this list, How is the bushwackers and M.O.M vs Bam Bam Bigelow, Bastion Booger, and the Headshrinkers not on the list , how is jerry lawler and 4 little people vs doink and 4 clowns not on the list, Mae Young and fabulous Moolah winning titles or winning matches against anyone 1/3 their age not on this list. Sable vs Marc Mero, 99% of vince russo's stupid items on a pole match, the blind fold matches not on this list
I was kinda expecting that one macho man match in wcw where he got kidnapped or something and didnt come out until the very end. it was so awkward.
Who takes dave meltzer seriously because i dont
Moondog Spot was robbed!
At 10:32, am I the only one who hears The Giant chortling like he found a piece of candy in his pocket?
This guy’s clearly never seen a match between Hogg & LJK.
The worst i remember seeing is Ted Arcidi versus Tony Atlas. Giant Singh versus Giant Silva was just as bad
All of these matches are 5 stars to me and I put that on Owen.
I can get the Hogan and Warrior stuff, they were punch and kick fests. I guess he doesn't like Lucha style matches. The number 1 was hardly the worst wrestling I have ever seen.
What's wrong with the DDP/Bret Hart match?
Lol sure is a lot of interference in this match!
@@ramseydoon8277 It wasn't interference. That was the gimmick of the match. 4v4 I believe, and the partners came in after a timer respectively, so that teams had a potential numeric advantage in between.
Thank you for your program. The Ultimate Warrior was an awful wrestler and a rotten excuse for a human being. Just a drugged up loser. Lugar and Sting were just screamers and had no real skills. I have no idea who the guy was that fought Sid in your first match. When the NWO first started it was pretty good. After that it was terrible. I think the worst of the worst was that entire card of the 1999 PPV? Remember, Jake Roberts was drunk. It was in Mississippi. I forget the name of the event. It was so bad. Thanks again
Of course there are zero AEW matches 🤣😭
lessons to learn from this
guys trying to shoot in pro wrestling never results in a good match. and the fans get the short end
wrestler vs boxer/karate/etc is almost always bad. even with greats like Ali and Inoki it almost always ends up dull
a Bucks match should be included in this list
