Good tip to use hot water on the pipes. Been nervous taking them off mine. They were fairly solid so I replaced them, and I think that's also helped the mower run better too. Although there was a lot to repair on mine! Push Mower Repair helped me a lot with parts.
Great video. I tighten the blade bolts to ten foot pounds with a torque wrench to allow movement. Be sure to ALWAYS remove the spark plug lead when rotating the blade disc by hand to avoid the mower starting.
Im gonna go buy a 2nd hand victa 2 stroke. quality 2 stroke made in australia. i have a makita 36v and its nice and light but its a bit of a bore. i prefer the noise and fumes and nostalgia of a 2 stroke aussie mower
Hi few issues here atm .. I have the main jet screw leaking while priming that also leaks same time .. another issue when it starts and goes well when im on one side particular side only eg on a hill .. it will shutoff straight away unless im quick to level it on even ground will slowly go back on again..
2 blades will do the job. 4 blades give a better cut and finish. If u want a bowling green for a lawn then use 4. If u dont really care then 2 is just fine too.

I spray some wd 40 on the blades and move 'em round before a mow. I also think the wd 40 helps keep the under deck clean.

What about the air filter and fuel filters, when should they be sorted??
On my Victa l have four holes but only two blades shal I replace four blades please
