... he says he doesn't want to scratch the pen from plastic clasps made by the manufacturer yet he hits it against a metal water bottle... Yes it woke me up...
don't want to scratch the pen with the Lamy box but no problem banging it off a metal water bottle.
:)
+Kenneth McGeechan same thought overhere :p
I literally scrolled down to see if someone thought the same
Pro tip: you can watch series on InstaFlixxer. I've been using it for watching lots of of movies during the lockdown.
@Zakai Gatlin Definitely, I have been using instaflixxer for since december myself :D
@Zakai Gatlin definitely, I've been watching on instaflixxer for since november myself :D
My Imporium actually came in the box that the Wild Rubin LE Studio came in but was black instead... Maybe the boxes vary
Is it just me, or is this the first modern Lamy pen with a screw-on cap?
Good point; I think so.
"I did not put the pen into the clasp bc it's a metal pen and I'm scared this may scratch it"

I was skeptical of this pen being worth the price but having picked one up on sale I love it so much that I bought another already. The cross-threading is definitely an annoyance.
This gold Nip on my Lamy Lx in Marron Color… great look!
That pen is almost identical to the Worther Profil as well, though it could probably be said that the Profil took inspiration from the Persona.
Aesthetically pleasing (in contrasting barrel & cap); clip is a nice innovation, but I cannot say I'm overly impressed with the nib (basically, an Intrasia design - perhaps copied form the M-B Meisterstuck numbers 12 & 14, altho' they are super nibs to use). For that price, irrespective of the materials employed, it's not even close to being worth 375 euros - that's just plainly exorbitant. No prospective purchase for this guy.
Excellent & candid review, Stephen, thank you !! :D
whoa! had totally forgotten about this one, the most baroque of all Lamy pens. Very unique, I miss the old style kinda conical nib, but they did well with the black, all straight lines and angles PVD coated new nib. If they can do black I wonder why they don't make more colors, or why the new Aion nib does not come in black for the black variant, but anyway...
Great review again. Thanks for doing this pen. I've been very curious about this one.
can you explain me why you use that transparent plastic sheet while writing??
It's to stop oils from his hand getting onto the paper, which will affect ink absorbency.
another great review... I really wish you could upgrade the video resolution...
I really like the looks of this pen but I'm not sure I can justify the price. Thanks for the review!!
nice review thanks. I think that i saw a lamy safari with the same box
+William Birmingham It is a 1080p. Is your CZcams player set to full resolution?
Holy hell! I just picked up a brand new gold nib Delta for 1/3 the price! I'm not THAT set to spend anything even similar on a Lamy.
lol I was just thinking "did you steal that from Darth Vader?"
Design looks like Person, and Platinum Gathered.
Writing sample 8:17
Thanks
i believe its titanium
Looks like a Lamy Persona, isn't it?
Yes it does: well-spotted. It's a modernized remake.
+sbrebrown "modernized", I don't know. The Persona clip and nib are more unique.
+Benoit St-Pierre I had a Persona. Interesting pen, but the cap kept unscrewing itself. That was terrible......
Ribbed. For our pleasure.
nice review not my cup of Earl black I do not like the look, which is the strong point of the pen.. that and the price ...
Thanks a lot for your interesting, important and funny videos, Stephen!
Please would you tell me: Do you consider the new Lamy Aion in your in your planing to review? Would highly appreciate that!
Greetings from Germany by the way! Have been Lamy-fan since 1991 and give the, these times, more and more poorer looking philosophy: "Made in Germany" all my attention and support.
(Maybe you speak a littlebit of german, do you?)
+Sandra L Yes, the Aion will be reviewed
sbrebrown
Fine, thanks!
One of Lamy's more attractive offerings, but overpriced for what you get as I find all their pens to be.
metal sections can be slippery. did you notice this, and do you think the ribs helped your grip?
With the coating and the ribs, I didn't find it slippery.
+Jay Karlson You dont know the meaning of slippery until you try use the parker urban ballpoint, with the polished section above the tip, i challenge you to write without your fingers eventually slipping down.
Was Darth Vader German?
Kalil Casseb Maybe by now :D
You've seen his helmet - somewhat reminiscent of a Stormtrooper, no ? ;D
I have a lamy safari brown (would be quite fitting for you too) and I am actually looking to get this nib for it. Unfortunately it seems they don't sell this nib as a spare part yet, do you have any info on it or do you know (or assume) when it will be sold?
I don't think the gold nibs are sold separately.
I can actually buy gold nibs separately at a local brick and mortar pen store, but I would prefer to get the imporium nib for my pen to keep the overall color scheme intact (and also because it looks awesome).
Can the screw cap seal the pen from drying out?
Unless
there are rubber O rings, I very much doubt it, but then, it may have an inner sleeve in the cap that does exactly that...
Dude. How do you write so fast? My cursive is nice but only when slow...
Practice
Amphetamines
Lol I know I'm 4 years late to this, but his handwriting is one of the worst I've seen of the popular pen reviewers. That's how he is so fast! 🤣
Explaining👌👌👌👌👍👍👍
And wears a 'Darth Vader' style shirt to match 🖋😁🤣
They finally give up that ridiculous triangular handgrip. It is bad even to little chindrem.
I guess I'm going to echo everyone else with "gorgeous pen, far too expensive". That's in M800 territory :/
Well, certainly - but the M800 is, by far, way & above the quality of this Lamy - no brainer !! :)
As far as I am concerned Lamy is junk Faber castle is much nicer
At $375 I'll pass.
