it could be a combination of too much rugby and people are over it, and inflation rises that's been happening all over the world and NZ is getting hit hard.
along with the never ending pandemic, it's not cheap renting in wellington or NZ for that matter and if you are a new home owner even worse

Love watching this championship from over here in the UK. Two things, the winner of this championship should play the winner of the European Championship, that would be great. Secondly, what’s with the lack of crowds? I thought rugby was the national sport in NZ
there were more people that turned up to see the warriors game(NRL) in wellington 2 weeks ago there is a growing love and support for rugby league(NRL) and if the warriors continue to show good performances and win more games consistantly it will certainly hurt rugby even more.
rugby in NZ is declining in support when it comes to club rugby both S.R and mitre 10 cup, never a decline when it comes to the all blacks.

It's early days in the comp bro if the canes keep winning more will turn up especially if they make quarter finals and semi's but that game was littered with penalties and alot of stoppages which is hard to watch sum good tries tho but that ref is abit to much by the book always blowing the whistle,the players are responsible 😊as well to make it exciting and not give away penalties all the time

Super Rugby is kind of dead without South Africa. Finding the NRL more exciting to watch eg Dolphins have played great stuff, every game so far has been a belter. Idk Super Rugby used to be incredible back when Blues were dominant - so much excitement with great Aussie Saffas and Kiwi teams across the comp. Now just a few good teams.
