The continuity from these boys is insane, able to string together long phases of plays without making mistakes
It's all about coaching. I used to play on the best youth team in the UK. We didn't lose for 4 years despite slowly getting entered into bigger and more skilled competitions. Our coaches were great and the players were great. Once you have that balance, you can drill anything in. We played 5-10 phases before a kick. If we didn't make it up the pitch then no point in wasting energy. We were playing rugby without counter rucks until we targeted a weaker player before international teams were doing it. This was about 17-18 years ago

Just been flicking through my youtube channel this morning, and I came across the college game between KBH school and St, Peters College of NZ. And what a game. It was like watching professionals playing a grand final. The game ebbed and flowed. Both sides showed their skills and individual brilliance. what a game of rugby. Ethier side could have taken out the final. But there only could be one winner, Congratulation Kelston Boys High.
Insane. Are these kids 18 years old?? They play like pros.....I should say even better...with more heart, passion and commitment thatn current pros. Hope they stay pure like today. Impressive rugby for this age.

A lot of these boys have been playing for 13 years, some less. It's in the NZ cultural DNA. The islanders have insane power, musculature, grit and skill. When you combine that with the NZ rugby culture, and years of playing, you get this.

First try from St Peters should never have been a try as when the half back kicked it, they were in front and advanced but should of retreated but didn't, which should have been a penalty

before covid there was an invitational for the top schools in every country. New zealand has won the most of those titles by far.
a few years ago a couple of private schools went over to south africa and got rolled but they werent even top 5 in thier own region so nobody really cares
