  • Making of an Astrolabe is a series, having several videos with step-by-step methods to make an Astrolabe.
This video shows the simplest way of projecting the Climate Circles. This video also shows the formula for projecting the Climate Circles.

I always wanted to know how to draw one by hand. Thank you.

I think stereographic projection does not work that way. In particular, your idea of deploying dual-point projections from S' and S is not stereographically correct.

In the first part of how to make astrolabe. I have shown how stereographic projection works.
In the first part of this video, I have shown the simplest form of projecting climate circles. As climate circles are projected on to two-dimensional plane. The sizes of the circles will be different.
Still if you fill that how it is not done. Then, in the next part of this video I have given the mathematical formula for calculating the size of the climate circles, means the tropics and the equator. And you may compare the sizes of the circles made by simple form and done by using mathematical formula. There will be no difference.
Still if you feel this is not stereographic projection, you may help to understand how stereographic projection are made. I will readily accept it.
But, I am using my hand made Astrolabe since 15th November 2016, since almost 6 years. And I am getting readings with only 1-2 minutes error.
