This was a group that came from a time when talent and not the "look" of a band determined everything. And with the Gibb brothers...they were just blessed with talent! Barry, Robin, Maurice, and Andy (who was a solo artist, but did perform with his older brothers) just had it all. This is, hands down, my favorite Bee Gees song. The strings backing the guys, the harmonies of Barry in falsetto, Robin layered in, and Maurice on the lower range...just magic. And the lyrics are probably the most romantic in pop music history.
Your face said everything...you were enthralled! Yeah...they had that power. RIP, Robin. RIP, Maurice.

Sound great huh thanks but they can’t go on tour to sing in person. They never wrote a bad song in 5 decades. You should be dancing also has their younger brother Andy singing with them. Andy also was a song writer and was successful in his own right. He wasn't a BeeGee because he was so much younger. Barry announced Andy would be joining the group in January 1988 but unfortunately he passed away early March just days after his 30th birthday. It's so good to see another generation discover what we grew up with. They wrote their own material as well as for many other artists including Diana Ross, Celine Dion, Dion Warrick, Barbara Streisand and Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. Also wrote with Michael Jackson.

Ray Bull completely right! This is one of the RARE occasions when you happen to put the one of the best lyrics with the greatest harmonies to some of the most phenomenal music ever recorded by one of the best producers.. Timeless and arguably the greatest love song ever recorded...

The greatest group ever. Wrote songs not only for themselves, but for many famous singers around the world. And proud to say they were born on the Isle of Man. 30 mile across the Irish sea from Northern Ireland where I live. Also have a listen to them singing Ellan Vallin. A song for the place of their birth. Robin Gibb has the voice of an angel. Have a listen

As the story goes, Barry was called last minute to come up with one more song and it needed to be slow and romantic song for the movie 'Saturday Night Fever" He went into his recording studio one early morning in Miami as the morning sun shine began to shine into the studio as he sat at the piano, he played around with a few bars for a few minutes and all of a sudden as if from God himself, the words and the lyrics and the melody came to him as he sang and played it for the first time, with several band members in total shock. You can look it up and find the making of "how deep is your love" The Bee Gees and Andy Gibb were my first love and My heart still feels the same every time i hear their music. Me and my best friend to this day have the fondest memories as teenagers listening to them for hours and hours. They are angels! Poor Barry is left without his brothers.

Coming of age in Southern California, they were a huge part of the soundtrack of my beautiful youth! What a time, falling in love for the first time, skating rinks, surfing, skateboarding, VANS shoes all pale in comparison to my Jennifer ❤ I never remember my dreams, had a very short one a few years back...she walked around the corner, saw me and smiled!!!😥 I'll forever love her, never told her! Moved away, I was 15 and deeply in love! Great songs, super group, untouchable in the mid 70s!

Past their DISCO DAYS, The Bee Gees STILL had wonderful harmony together. I'd love for you to hear their song called "You Win Again." It's another song of theirs I love. I commented on your reaction to "Too Much Heaven" by them, and, I can honestly say that I don't know which song by them I love the best ... So, I would also like to see your reaction to "Words." It's another great one by them. TY for sharing this video.

Loving your reactions. There's a purity to the Bee Gees that stayed all through their 40+ year career! An amazing rabbit hole of hits. Try Staying Alive, Fanny be tender with my love, Run to Me, How can you mend a broken heart, Jive Talking, You Win Again...just to get you started. And yes, they wrote all of their songs as well as songs for Diana Ross, Barbra Streisand, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, etc. Barry Gibb is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for songwriting. You have a lot to enjoy coming up. My favourite band for over 40 years!

In my opinion, there has never been, nor will ever be, anyone as great, as talented singers and songwriters, as Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb! They will always be my absolute favorites! Sadly Barry is the only one still living, and he's still singing and making albums. Absolutely love their music and voices. ❤❤❤

I’m 33 and one of the TV stations in my country used to play this song every night when I was growing up and I never missed it. My favourite music group.
And yes….they’re among the greatest song writers of all time and even wrote songs for other great singers (Islands in the Stream, recorded by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers).
Check out their song, “For Whom the Bell Tolls”.

I was blessed to have been around during this time period. I even got to see them live in concert around this time, the summer of 1979, and I have to say, there really has been no recording, cd, dvd, blu ray, that has really done justice to what it was like to have been in the same room with them at that time. I spent half the show with my eyes closed just listening to those harmonies. Some of the sweetest sounds I have ever heard.

Omg, your reaction is so pure! I’m 69 and the first time I heard that there are people with all this modern equipment who had never heard the BeeGees! I wondered were all these kids incarcerated or on another Planet? Or what happened to their Parents? Why have they not passed on all that “organic”music to their kids like my parents did for my Siblings and me, and I did with and sons?
Any way I loved your reactions -so pure -made me cry to see you react with so much “Theta” ask any Scientologist what that is, and you,yes you, will get it!!!
Yours ❤🎉😂is a theta reaction to things on and in the Theta wave band ; thank you for you pure honest reaction to that Theta song that was ahead of its time, and still serves as an ideal example of what pure Theta is and where it comes from -the Heart and how it’s put in words that simply conveys “I LOVE YOU” for all to admire! Like “Earth, wind and Fire!” Put your hands on their music as well , then some “Freddy Mercury” and “Elton John’s - Rocket Man” listen to the lyrics before you sing along and my favorite, Steely Dan’s “Caves of Altamira”
I totally enjoy your honesty of reactions to music from a time when there was no way to electronically manipulate a singer’s voice, like Johny Matis’ voice Cherish the voices and pass them onto your children!
