To me, it kind of seems like the content planned for 4.5 initially was swapped around with the content planned for 4.7. I mean, there’s very little here, No Dainsleif quest is pretty weird, and I also find it strange that Chiori was added before someone like Clorinde, who’s been around for a few more patches than her.
Ultimately though…that might be a good thing? If we get a filler patch now, it’ll mean that the buildup to Natlan is less excruciating and that there isn’t as much of a drought in content during the later parts of 4.x.
You're kind of right but not really.
Chiori was meant to release in 3.8. Instead they released no one in 3.8 (maybe because they realized they couldn't do Chiori's story quest because Fontaine wasn't out yet, but then again, she was supposed to be a 4 star)
That would have put Sigewinne in 4.5, Arlecchino in 4.6, and Clorinde in 4.7, as the remaining 5 stars.

@@Naauhen he's not lying tho. the penacony tb mission was done not even in 2 days, but like 4 hours. You can do the companion mission too. The Hanu event took like 2 hours. All the exploration of Penacony with the puzzles and chests could be done in a couple of days.
4.5 will definitely be remembered as one of the patches ever

Some trivia regarding Chiori's VA, Brittany Lauda because I'm feeling in the mood to do so and do want to share facts for those who are new to her:
- Some of her notable roles include Yuzuriha from Dr. Stone, Ichigo from Darling in the FRANXX, Riko from Made in the Abyss and Foo Fighters from Jojo Part 6, alongside many others.
- Brittany has shared a role with Ayana Taketatsu before, that being of Cammot from Holy Knight.
- She's married to Matt Shipman, who is also a voice actor himself and also supplied various NPC voices.

I Heccin Love Brittany man.
A fun fact, Both her and Matt got Roles in the recent dub version of Hokkaido Gals are Adorable. Matt got the role of the MC Tsubasa while Brittany got the role of the purple-haired Gamer Ms Sayuri.
Not to mention 2 of my other favorite roles of hers was in Nikke as not one but 2 people: Sin AND Guilty. Not to mention I also liked her as Saki From Girlfriend Girlfriend.

Fontaine only got 2 expansions left. 1 is the big mountain in the north, and 1 is a Khaenriah battle place, its coming in 4.6.

They are cooking something big. We still don't have the rest of Fontaine map, we heard about the port city in mondstat from Mona and still didn't get to see it. I know this is going to be a filler update but i wonder what will be the next 3 versions after this one. Maybe something big? Even Dain didn't appeared yet.

Main 2.0 quest was done in less than 5 hours.

Its kinda wrong to compare to star rail which more end game oriented and kinda forced you to keep up with meta. Genshin also have more casuals players thats appreciate exploration and world building, the reason why genshin can sustain and very popular. Those people will never bother that much in artifacts farming lol.

If it had rollover so that you throw a few wishes every so often when you have extra to get something guaranteed that would be decent. They just want to force competition of primo allocation with the limited banners. More "content" to spend on without any increases of primo/fates. Cool.

I stopped playing Genshin when 3.7 came out (had been playing since the beginning), mostly because I was tired of the desert lol. Came back to it last week, and its ironic that I returned during yet another filler phase. I'm glad I have Fontaine to catch up, by the time I'm done with everything, Natlan will be close :b

@@michaelq5284 i would definitely recommend Kazuha. you can use him in non Neuv teams too and he is going to be a guaranteed upgrade in most teams that need a VV. Neuv is already broken at c0, c1 is just a nice cherry on top. Kazuha also provides grouping which is smth you will find quite handy!

I'm happy to wait till 4.9 for "non-filler" content if it makes said content of higher quality, and given the quality of recent additions to the game, I have faith it will be spectacular. I'm still looking forward to this update either way. It just looks fun, and my favorite thing is getting to see the characters interact and getting to know them.

This is the least appealing Genshin patch in history.. so sad to see
Here's a short list of what longtime Genshin players have been asking for:
- Standard 5-star character selector after xxx amount of wishes, retroactive (already implemented in Honkai Star Rail)
- Option to save a few artifacts sets and weapons per character as loadout, especially for "main characters" Aether/Lumine, one for each element type+add option to change element anywhere in overworld (already implemented in Honkai Impact 3)
- Advanced SOLO AND CO-OP permanent combat challenges (Endgame) with customizable difficulty, buffs, de-buffs, time, HP, etc. But also more casual challenges like HSR “Simulated Universe” (it was already done in events such as : Hypostatic Symphony 2021/01/16, Legend of the Vagabond Sword 2021/06/25, Labyrinth Warriors 10/21/21…)
- Resin overflow system + resin capacity and condensed resin capacity increase
- Optional old events (DLC) to be re-playable for new players and be able to experience hidden/missed lore and mini-games (plus an option to read previous story dialogues)
- A way for new players to acquire old event character signature weapons in a shop
- More options and quality of life updates for every type of players such as; Teapot load limit increase, more in game character emote and pose for role-players, more options for content creators with UI(hide user interface) and advanced audio/video settings(un-cap FPS), skip the entire dialogue option for speedrunners
- Togglable constellations for content creators, testers or people who want to try challenges
- Add 3 extra 10-pulls (cost: 8 fates) to the beginner's banner and make the 50th pull a guaranteed standard 5-star character. (HSR already implemented this)
- Epitomized Path for 4-stars and more characters/weapons in the Starglitter shop
- Clear buff indicators with cool-downs in the UI(user interface) and hp bar for shields
- Retire the day locked domains for weapons and talents materials
- Add controller support for Android devices
- FIX DEHYA. Then address the bug reports on characters like Eula, Mona, Xinyan etc
- More rewards for the free to play, more than just 3 pulls for 3 years ( ｡ •̀ ᴖ •́ ｡)

@MiyuKawasaki dude are you insane 3.5 had one of the best archon quest and a fun event story quest. 4.5 on the other hand had a trash story quest( in my opinion) and a trash event where the traveller becomes an errand boy in monstadt that event had no plot at all its the most boring event right behind 2.9.

No, Chiori was a sympathetic character, Lynette's hangout was surprisingly good (way better than Arlecchino's quest), and the main event was funny.

In 3.5 we got the second nahida quest for her rerun and now for Neuvillette there’s nothing.

hi , im an f2p player at ar49 ... can anyone help me building a team for abyss and also drop some suggestions for which character i should pull .... i have xiangling , xingqiu , rosaria , venti , razor , nahida , dendro mc etc. .. i got some good weapons also like catch , sacrificial , etc. thankyou
If you have enough wishes next patch has 3 good characters Neuvillete (first preference) is best dps now, then kazuha(best buffer) these 2 are 2nd phase means u need to wait for 26 day for them after 6 days Arataki itto will also come good thing is he is also good(my first character)
I suggest farm artifacts and get decent stats if you are using dendro mc and nahida (best dendro applyer) give them em stats more as hyperblo team is crazy
U can use xangling with r5 catch, dendro mc(if you have a electro character replace mc with electro that will make your team good) , nahida and xinque(water sword boy) if you pull neuvillete u can replace xinque with him
For second team
This will be a weak team go with rozaria, kaeya, xinque(if u got neuvillete for the 1st team) use sac sword on him... Barbara(for infinite freeze) 2 ice character increases crit against frozen enemies and 2 hydro increase hp if you don't want Barbara use ventie(guve him em stats)he is also good in this 2nd team wet enemies ones then use ventie skill to wet other enemies near by then use rozaria Or kaeya to freeze then attack or use Barbara instead of xinque she can constantly apply wet
Just do trial and error u will understand who will be good on what area finally genshin is easy game when u reach end game you will realise that it's devs are not even doing any thing for late players
