My friend from Accra - Ghana made me this soup. Hers was slightly different as she used prawn and chicken stock. I used your recipe but used half prawn stock (I made from boiling prawn heads in water) and it tasted amazing! Does the recipe vary a lot in Ghana?
It doesn't vary much.. some people use smoked and/or fried fish in addition to shrimps and any other meat of their fancy.
😊Thanks for the video...those herbs is locally called Akokob3sa😃

Omg Fafa that looks delicious. Im sad i cant find some of African spices in Bosnia...

Most Asian grocers stock similar spices, if you don’t have any African grocers readily available. You can order some of the ingredients online
Ndudu by Fafa yes i Guess i could do that except fresh vegetables... thank you...
Are you using the hen or those soft packaged chicken
Can I use black pepper corn instead of the winthian? (Grains of saline). May you please write out the proper term for it; I misspelled it.
Also, can I use tomato sauce instead of tomato puree.

Yes you can 😘
please what is the local name for the aniseed and peppercorn. and also when making the stock you added something pink whats it called
Aniseed is Nketiketi and cubeb is known as Esuro Wisa. It’s similar to black peppercorns, however it has a slight bitter taste. I’m not sure about the local name of black peppercorns.

@@NdudubyFafa you are the best Fafa, going to try this right now
Fufu and chicken soup it’s the only thing my daughter eats
what is a garden egg?
Can i use just water instead of the chicken stock you made
Or can i buy a chicken stock
Just asking
You can use water, however it’s best to use Chicken stock 😘😘
There is no garden egg in u.s. Would egg plants work or another vegetable?
+Miss desire Independance You can use Aubergines and Okra
Garden egg is simply a white baby aubergine...use the small ones.
There are garden eggs in the U.S.A. You just have to look around different stores depending on where you live. They even grow them on the U-PICK farms where you go and pick your own veggies and fruits.
Basil is akukor bersa or kower for ga.
Can u also add the tin tomato straight?
Yes you can 😘😘
please what makes soup taste nice.is it the timing or what? please help me.because I follow the recipe but it still does not taste good.thank you
Yes it’s mostly timing and the amount of spices you used. Maybe you used more or less spices . And sometimes it’s your chicken
Hi Daavi, are you on TikTok?

I watched this whole thing twice, and my only thought was where am i going to find garden egg and kpakposhito in this Yankee?? I'm Nigerian, but this is my favorite Ghanian soup...fufu optional. Question: can you use aubergine instead of garden eggs?
