    I always learn something new from your recipes. I'll try using chicken stock instead of water. I think its called akok)m3sa/akok)b3sa. I bought fresh basil the last time and was like we had this back home. I remember my mum always used it whenever she made chicken soup.

    My friend from Accra - Ghana made me this soup. Hers was slightly different as she used prawn and chicken stock. I used your recipe but used half prawn stock (I made from boiling prawn heads in water) and it tasted amazing! Does the recipe vary a lot in Ghana?

      It doesn't vary much.. some people use smoked and/or fried fish in addition to shrimps and any other meat of their fancy.

      Most Asian grocers stock similar spices, if you don’t have any African grocers readily available. You can order some of the ingredients online

    Can I use black pepper corn instead of the winthian? (Grains of saline). May you please write out the proper term for it; I misspelled it.

      Aniseed is Nketiketi and cubeb is known as Esuro Wisa. It’s similar to black peppercorns, however it has a slight bitter taste. I’m not sure about the local name of black peppercorns.

      There are garden eggs in the U.S.A. You just have to look around different stores depending on where you live. They even grow them on the U-PICK farms where you go and pick your own veggies and fruits.

      Yes it’s mostly timing and the amount of spices you used. Maybe you used more or less spices . And sometimes it’s your chicken
