I have enjoyed your videos for a couple of years now, and finally I must comment. This stuff is incredible! Miraculous! I had two broken head bolts drilled out last year and the metal shavings from the work laid in my boat. When it came back from repair I had a rusty mess. Just today I cleaned it all up so effortlessly. Thank you for being so kind to share your knowledge.

Oxalic acid, or "wood bleach", can be purchased at most paint supply stores (Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, etc) in powdered form for much cheaper than pre-mixed stuff from big box stores. I mix about three or four tablespoons with warm water in a quart sized spray bottle. spray on, let sit for 5 minutes, rinse off. done.

I own an aluminum boat. It's a HUGE mistake if you bolt anything onto it with steel hardware. It will rust super fast due to oxidation-reduction chemical reaction. I thought all boaters knew this and boat manufacturers too. Someone fucked up really good to build a boat that rusts that much.

I want to left a pair of steel pliers on my dashboard for the week! When I went to the marina the following weekend after all that rain there was a huge rush spot on my white gelcoat! I used a product called FSR which stands for fiberglass stain remover! I usually apply it with a foam brush let it sit a few minutes and wipe it off! As for cleaning the stainless I use bronze wool and Flitz aluminum and stainless steel polish! The bronze wool is soft enough that it will not leave any scratches on your hardware! Those are the two easiest and fastest ways to keep your boat looking new, And they require little to no effort!

I have, if I recall correctly, organic rust in our well. Water comes from the well clear, but as it's exposed to oxygen, it becomes rusty. I have a system that removes most of it and softens the water. However, occasionally someone will flush a toilet while the system regenerates or a power outage might mess up the timers and things get out of synch. My first indication is the toilet water and bowl gets rusty. Once I reset everything and am certain it's good I then go after the rust staining. The product I've found that works the best is Whink Rust Stain Remover. I do use the Goof Off Bathroom stuff for cleaning the shower tile because it has a consistency that's better suited. But that Whink stuff gets stubborn rust stains out much better.

4 yrs ago I started using Ceramic coating on my boat... no more rust stains, no more pitting, washing it is a breeze and with most of them you can coat everything, chrome, aluminum, plastic, glass, paint and gel coat. Most say it lasts 3-5 yrs but I’ve found it’s more like 2-2.5 yrs.. it will change your life for the better. Definitely school up on how to apply and take care of it and it’s time consuming compared to wax but a lot less physically demanding than applying wax.

Toilet cleaner is either going to be a strong corrosive base (the chemical opposite of acid) like lye, or something like bleach or Clorox. These are very very bad for metals. And the highly basic solutions will practically dissolve aluminum. In fact some basic toilet cleaners actually have chunks of aluminum in them which is consumed while they slowly neutralize the base.

This stuff also works like a breeze to remove waterline stain without being as harsh as muriatic acid

Yeah, shouldn't take 8 minutes to get to the point. Just show it in the beginning and then talk about it and show examples. I scanned to the end and skipped most of the video.
