Very informative. The dredging work and the video are good use of taxpayer funds.

The technique of creating Cresent shaped rain catches in watershed basin within a drough affected region has been shown to have drastic results in reversing desertification. With a half ring of rocks and damming materials and a load of dredged material within the Cresent, rain water has a place to soak in and provide a reservoir for plants to take hold. This results in water being stored in roots and plant material. These Cresent become water batteries, holding moisture for much longer periods of time, allowing for water to seep slowly into the water table rather than flooding the surface and running quickly to the bottom of the basin on the surface. Or evaporating in the dry wind usually that accompanies a drought stricken area. The dredged material can be individually trucked to pre-made crescents. This has been done in India on a large scale to reverse desertification in the north.

Florida and Louisiana could both use a double layer

I'm sure there's plenty of places in Florida that could use this settlement, given the fact that there's plenty of sinkholes and eroding Shoreline.

The executives sich as the regional management board in corp of engineers are the poster child of Office Space's The Bobs.

There's no such thing as a "regional management board"

We live on a series of artificial lakes that were a part of our communities development. When built thirty years ago, they were 16 feet deep. Now with sediment some areas ate less than ten feet deep. In another 30 years these “lakes” may be reduces to a stream. While this would be fine in my opinion others prefer the lakes. The problem is the lack of a cost effective way to remove the sediment without disturbing the homes. Because the lakes are an integral part of the cities waste water treatment system, they cannot be dewatered allowing removal by normal soil excavation.

Website doesn't work. Try pipes for getting the sluggish material out. If you pump it out and return the water after filtering.

Making recommendations to the Army Core of Engineers is a bold move! Like they don’t know anything about dredging. Seriously! 😂

@ericjenjohnson if you watch to the end of the video, they ask for suggestions and also give the website, hence the feedback.
