Thank you so much for that, Fred! You rock! I've seen other videos of these speakers being installed in a Model Y, and it's done the same way - with the exception of the rear dash speakers. The Model 3 rear dash speakers are much more difficult to get to than the rear hatch speakers in the Model Y. So the installation is actually EASIER for the Model Y! Let me know if you run into any questions later.
I also have a model y, did u ever get to install this system yet ? im also looking to purchase but I want to get an opinion from someone that already has them installed
Tesla speakers use Neodymium magnet which are smaller and lighter than conventional magnets. This is to reduce weight and also the need of extra power form the amplifiers. Just keep that in mind. as for REAL high quality and best audio fidelity, is all about the speaker construction and not the magnet only. Of course, it is also about the head unit that produces the sound and the amplifiers too.
@@BecauseTesla Tesla uses Neodymium magnets in their OEM speakers, not ferrite. Neodymium is approximately 4 times more magnetically powerful per pound than ferrite.

@@SergioERestrepo they’re a nice upgrade! the light harmonics are very nice as well, we had the v1. Our car is an SR+ m3 so we needed to add a sub and speaker activation harness
Question for you..... I miss my Model 3 and the sound system😢 I sold it a year and a half ago but possibly looking into getting into a Model Y does this kit fit the Model Y? If so I'm assuming because of the hatch on the Y the installation would be easier🤔 with some of these speakers?
I own a 2021 Model 3 Performance and am interested in replacing every single speaker so I see for $1,150 they offer an 11 speaker set but if I recall there is 15 Speakers in total which 4 are not included
Not included: front overhead tweeters (2), and rear door speakers (2). The rear door speakers are built into the door panel, so you would need to modify your door panel to swap out speakers. Not impossible, but not plug and play like the rest of the speakers.
I just finished installing the light harmonic gen 2 ultimate 11 speaker upgrade and wow what an amazing sound it produces much better than the factory speakers I have a 2021 Model 3 performance built in September 2021 and I have the tweeter in the dashboard and under the glovebox so my car has 16 speakers total 4 in dashboard 2 mirror tweeters 2 pillar tweeters 2 front door woofers 1 under glovebox tweeter 2 rear door speakers 2 rear dash speakers 1 subwoofer making 16 total I guess my Tesla was produced before the dash tweeter was done away with
Per their website: “Light Harmonic always uses strong magnets made of rare Earth metals, such as neodymium. In our Generation 2 Power Magnets, in order to generate a even stronger magnetic field, which is necessary for the speaker to produce loud and clear sound, we optimizing the size and new LHD shape of the magnet. And increase coil current capacity within the structure.”
Model S kit is just the front and rear door speakers. So that means it's a much easier installation. Model S speakers were around longer, so they're now releasing Version 3 for Model S, and I believe they start to ship next week. www.lightharmonic.com/product-page/tesla-model-s?ref=becausetesla
Do you see their midrange speakers hook up in WRONG polarity? How they can sound good by messing up with sound stage? Promote a bad product can also hurts your reputation
Just curious, but why do you think they are connected in the wrong polarity? What makes you think it is a bad product? They definitely sound better than the stock speakers.
@@BecauseTesla tested with polarity tester and double checked with micro with app+ polarity pulse track. You can see in your video the red wire are all on the right. Teslas on the left. The simplest way is testing with a small battery..

Cool! Will you give away your version1?
Are they neodymium magnets or ferrite magnets? Neodymium are smaller but more powerful. The original Tesls speakers have Neodymium magnets.
