I am 80 and always where make up every day ,I also have very dry skin, I now put caster oil on at night before bed ,wonderful. Then a few days ago I tried a new one in foundation. Laura Geller ,it’s a colour creator as well ,with a large brush,honestly it’s magic,just swish it round and my skin looks perfect,watch a few of her video s it also gives a glow nanny so quick,it cost £29 on Amazon,😊❤

I've fallen, tripped, and knocked myself over alot, and have my whole life. I've always been kind of klutzy. The good thing is, I've never hurt myself beyond a few scrapes and bruises. My husband says I'm like a ninja because I'm so adept at falling without damaging myself! In India a few years ago we were visiting the Ganges and I managed to fall in! The poor tour leader was scared to death, but I was fine, though very embarrassed. An Indian man came to me and said not to feel ashamed because I had been blessed!

Dear Nanny, I recently found you on CZcams. I am a 77-year-old woman and love your insights and hints on dealing with aging. I am experiencing hair loss. I found a product that has been a help to camouflage my bald spots that creative styling doesn't cover. It is Toppik. It sprinkles little fibers to fill in those areas. My hairdresser told me that they (hairdressers) often sprinkle a tiny bit of baby powder to camouflage the hair loss -- and it's less expensive than Toppik.
@@alineroberts my hair is not all gray so baby powder wouldn't help. If I ever turn totally gray I will give it a try. Thanks for the tip.

You are right, I'm 63, and when I go shopping people look at me just because I wear makeup 💄. And I still color my hair as well. It's long too, just because we are older doesn't mean we're done. What a joy to find your positive U-tubes...This past week has been challenging with the loss of a dear long time friend and our precious cat having a bad fall and serious vet bills looming. I am most of the time a positive person, but sometimes it is a bit challenging. I wrote my brother who as is yours....very close to me and shared my sagging spirit and yet finished up my e-mail with the perspective that everyone ...yes EVERYONE at some time faces loss and heartfelt issues.... and this is life... And that .there will always be storms in life and with faith and trust we weather them and "After the storms....the rainbow!" The funeral was today...It rained heavily at the gravesite and the wind blew our umbrellas inside out....We had a gathering afterward for lunch. I was physically and emotionally drained when we came home and I decided to just rest in the living room on the couch. My poor lame cat with his uncomfortable broken leg and heavy splint managed to climb up onto my lap. (he is scheduled for complicated and expensive surgery next week) That he actually wanted to be with me was so touching and heart rending. And then just at that moment my husband called to me...."Get up...look out the front door!" And there in the sky was a beautiful complete rainbow! It only lasted for a very short time...but it was so precious and reassuring ....and... YES, there is always a rainbow after the storms of life.

Nannie, im with you I love big Statement jewelry. There is a Dr. on Utube who says you should never put Vaseline on your skin, I guess she has never seen you, you have gorgeous skin, im 65 and have undereye circles I cant get rid of. I talked to a plastic surgeon, talked about having fat transfers scared me to death, no way, and it cost 5,000, I think I'll live with the way I am. Lol😊
I've noticed I can easily get that dewy look with my makeup by using it shortly after I apply my Nivea
I don't wear makeup every day but I do feel more confident when I am wearing makeup.

You mentioned today that your mascara gets on your eyelids due to hooding.
Here is a tip/suggestion for eliminating or greatly reducing the issue:
First- Apply one or two applications of a clear mascara, like 'Maybeline Great Lash Clear Transparent'. No doubt most brands have their own version. The number of applications depends on how thick you want your lashes to look in the end result.
Second- Separate your lashes with a lash comb or a toothbrush that is used for only this purpose. "Blinking through" the comb or toothbrush works well in separating the lashes.
Third- LIGHTLY apply your regular mascara to your lashes. You will find that only a minimum amount of regular mascara is needed to cover/accentuate your lashes to give them optimum results.
With less regular black or brown mascara on your lashes, less will be deposited on your eyelids. It may or may not eliminate the issue totally, but it does minimize it significantly while still allowing for the same desired look when using regular mascara only.

What hides my brown stops is Airbrush by Jerome's. If I'm going to go on a special occasion I carefully cover the top of my hands as well. It's pretty yucky that some of us gets that ugly stuff. I once cared for this lady with Alzahmer that begged me to remove that from her hands. She couldn't understand that it was a natural. Such a sad disease.😢

Sometimes when I see an age spot, it reminds me that Im still alive and kicking. Well, maybe not kicking as hard, but you get the point. I joined the local YMCA yesterday, and actually got into the pool and did some aquarobics and swim laps. Yay! Wasn't sure if would ever happen. They said signing up is the hardest part. Next week I'm starting a meditation class,then back into the pool. I thought I'd start with something not too strenuous, kind of ease into exercise. Just thought I'd mention as you are always encouraging us to get out there and try new things and be active. Interesting jewelry collection today. It all looks good on you. I have a go pile because I upcycle sew. Worn thrift and upcycled pretty much all my life, using patterns at 10. Material is too expensive and crap. I now sell in reitrement at the small farmers market where we retired to. Mainly because everyone kept asking me where I got my jean purses. I still make a lot for myself so I try to cycle down my not so favorite. Put things in my sewing room to sell but then I "dress" from it. Or take it out and alter again. One thing helps. I cannot wear polyester anymore. especially on my arms. I will use some things to trim but have a lot of voile dresses etc. Im going to whip them up as kimonos. Im getting interested in multi fabric outfits. Its in style and helps to lengthen sleeves and the bottom. I had big babies so need the tunic styles.
Idid that from the time I was married, my friend…saved all my college Pendleton plaid pleated skirts and everything else and made wool robes and clothes for the kids and all sorts of thing s for me…I think it’s why I am not successful as a purger. ❤️

Ive been back binging your videos since I found your channel. Just a note on hair. Ive always had thicker hair and what I think is 1/4 of what I had in my 20s is still a lot compared to most! But several years ago I saw a video of a male model with long wavy hair to his waist, really thick and he never puts anything on his scalp. In shower he just washes it. But he gets a big bowl and puts conditioner in water and dips it then rinses. Too much work but since then I only put small dots of conditioner in my hand and pull through about 2/3rds the way up my hair in the shower. Lean to side to rinse. I do rub up my scalp to clean too. Once in a while I use baking soda, every 2 months or so to super clean my scalp followed by apple cider vinegar. I just put a tiny bit baking soda in plastic cup. Fill in shower and rub through. Bring in the plastic bottle of the cider vinegar, put tablespoon in and add water. After shower I do same with my mouse or leave in conditioner. Only pull through bottom of my hair first rubbing into my hands. Even hair spray I lean toside or spray on fingertips. My hair is a lot thicker now. Im 69.
