used to be my dream car till Mercedes made the new class and especially the new e class now I'm just thinking what's the point
i dont really like how the e class looks so cheap.... my opinion.

Honestly, the S Class is the best luxury car, beating mostly all the German, Japanese, and Korean competition. That's my opinion, but no other manufacturer offers what Mercedes-Benz does in options, build quality, and refinement.

So far, no issues and it has been a pure pleasure to drive. It’s my daily driver
and I have a new Mustang GT as my weekend car as a reality check :)
I had upgraded from an E class I had for the past four years. No comparison to the
interior designs but of course you give up about 4 MPG in the city. She does get
25 on the hwy and I am great with that as the 7 speed trans keeps the rpms low.
I have learned to use the auto drive on the highway, and trust it now ! In the
City, it can be tricky. The one downside to owning a Mercedes is when you ride
in GM or Ford cars, you feel out of place as they really have not captured a
luxury car all the way up the Cadi line !

When I was student, I too had a aromatherapy setup......in my Honda civic. It was hanging from the rearview mirror hardware.

I also don't understand why you need ambient lighting in the car.
Shivjeet Parthasarathy Drive in a car with ambient lighting and you'll see why. It gives such a nice atmosphere (or ambiance) and depending on the colour and intensity it can be really calming at night. Apparently it also helps to adjust your eyes to other car lights at night since you aren't in a dark cabin only then to see the bright light of another car.

I have never been a fan of Mercedes exterior, but god damn the interior and all the luxurious features kinda make up for it.
I do enjoy the use of humor in your reviews. Intelligent and incisive. Thanks. Maybe you could trim the artistic shots for some more actual driving tests of handling, steering and braking. As in, how does it all fit together when the driving force behind is fast, busy and necessary. Does all the tech actually gel?

Magic Body Control is highly underrated. We took a few test drives in the new S-Class and it really does smooth out almost all of the bumps :)
Great review. The anointed fan base will have noticed that the actual car u reviewed was pretty “hi spec” including the designo seats. It’s always very hard to find such loaded car in the used market without stepping up to the s63. Love the optional airline tray tables. One additional feature customers in this demographic also appreciate is that to the average person, the car blends with traffic or in parking lots unnoticed, as would an average person wearing a blazer and no tie.
every inch of this car is orgasmic. magic body control by merc just puts this car on a whole new level, apart from the other insane features. audi a8l, jaguar xjl and the 7 series are behinnd by a notch

There yet remains a controversy about reliability. There are those who rather honestly doubt the structural integrity of Mercedes products, and others who haven't had problems nearly bad enough to complain. I still would like to know how reliable recent products from Mercedes-Benz are in five years' time, as I am a huge supporter of this somewhat uncertain brand.

These bacame affordable, i got one for 55000€ really good condition, wasnt driven as much only 130k km, i have a full service book and it was serviced at the dealership where it was bought, it was driven arround the city

S class looks nicer and has more of a lively presence than te Bentley. Bentley feels too sterile, but this Benz has a soul to it. Plus with the price cuts, you can also buy the next generation s class with money you saved from buying this one lol

i like the s class with brown leather and diamond white exterior & i also think that it as luxurious as rolls royce phantom(w/ all the right packages).
I want to buy a mercedez but a big car. I am turn off by small cars. I do not care if they are 2014. But it has to be a big car. Any recomendations. I am an entreprenuer.

my favorite thing to do in this car when sitting at the back is to open the sunroof's cover or just looking at myself with the mirror and using the sun shades on both of the back windows and the rear windows and watch some movies with the tv on the back of the seat (great especially when travelling) oh well.

Y’all love to talk about reliability in the comments but have never owned a Mercedes’ , I’ve owned multiple and never had my car break down or not start , only issue I’ve had is an oil leak that was like 500 to get fixed everything else has been regular maintenance
very high quality.
The S class and the G wagon are the only Mercedes vehicles not built on a Dodge Neon or Chrysler Crossfire/Jeep Liberty drivetrain at this point. Buy the expensive one, it's actually the better buy. And as we're seven years later now, you should 100% buy the nicest used one you can find!

Given that a new truck is closing in on 60k, 94k for a car of this caliber seems remarkably cheap.
Dam these cars are bauetifuland amazing. But I can't imagine those electronics in 10 years lolol. These will def keep up the high maintence costs. If ur buying it new it don't matter but if u wanna get a used one for 10k in 10years it's gonna cost u more on repairs

i can tell u from personal experience that the car is literally the ultimate perfomance/ luxury vehicle, no i dont personally own one but my father drives his 2015 s63 every now and then (we live near chicago so when the weather is nice) and man you get all sorts of looks. what i like the best about it is that the ride feels great, it feels like your driving on a cloud , not that ive ever driven it or anything *cough cough* and on the flip side its extremely quick off the line. only downsides of the s63 amg is that its no longer a naturally aspirated v8 like the other s63 amgs also the slight acceleration lag. also not to sound douchey but if u think im trolling or something on the comments, you guys can add me on snapchat if u want. ill drop my username if someone responds
it is well spec'ed too, it has the carbonfiber interior finish with the tvs and all that fun stuff.

yeah, i have a couple friends who own newer S550's and they said the only time they take it to the dealer is for the annual maintenance

Adit Kamath its mainly the second or third or fourth owners that put all these aftermarket parts on it and don't take it to the services, thats when they start to break, my old G550 ran like a tank until i sold it.

Not al all, if car is what makes people look accomplished then warren buffet is a regular person. I know people who are barely making ends meet driving expensive cars like this for the sake of looking rich but actually lease or finance the car and facing financial problems.
