Hi, folks! Please don't massage the colofix into your hair, and DO NOT put a cap on, as the instructions will tell you. This will break your hair. The chemicals do not need heat to help. It's a good product. Good luck!
Step 3 in the color fix line can be avoided altogether. It will darken your hair so avoid it.
When you do this again, never agitate the hair by brushing/massaging it. As you figured out, it will break your hair.
You can’t lighten hair with color fix. Only remove artificial pigment. If you had highlights under there somewhere, the existing pigment layered over it will be removed, showing the highlights again. Also, hair chemicals aren’t shampoo. You can’t just expect it to foam up and spread.
Do not comb your hair with dyes or bleach or practically any product. Comb through conditioner.
Why did u say hairdressers wouldn't like u doing that, mixing the two colors? My grandmother was a master hair designer for 44 years at jcpennys and she does that all the time to create custom colors

I think the 7VA is what darkened your hair. It has violet in it and when I added purple shampoo once that darkened my blonde hair.
My hairdresser recommended I not do this but I’m gonna do it anyway
