Steam, Diesels, and Freight at Strasburg (in HD)

Where else in the country can you see steam locomotives pulling regularly scheduled passenger trains, diesel engines pulling freight trains, and passing/parked Amtrak trains, both on display and in operation, all along a 4.5 mile stretch of railroad? You can see all of these things during a visit to the Strasburg Rail Road, if you're lucky. On Friday, September 20, 2013, Big Jim Video Productions paid a visit to Strasburg, for their Day Out With Thomas event, and got to see all of these and more.
On site, on display, was the Amtrak Exhibit Train - 2-10-0 Great Western #90 was pulling the regular passenger trains - and after the last Thomas run of the day, SW8 #8618 pulled a two-car empty load of freight from Strasburg to the NS interchange at Leaman Place - and then proceeded to follow #90 back to Strasburg with a set of loaded freight cars. Keep an eye peeled at Leaman Place for the passing Amtrak train as well, headed towards Lancaster!

The Amtrak "exhibit train" with display cars and a mini "museum" inside was there for the entire Day Out With Thomas event for people to explore. That engine brought the train out.
