From my readings, the Ariens AX Engines are engineered by LCT (Liquid Combustion Technology), a 25+ year old U.S. company that grew out of the ashes of Tecumseh. LCT owns and manages the manufacturing facilities in China and they dictate the quality. Seems to be a good business model and marriage for Ariens.

If you support made over there you are correct. I can say my 10.5 flatly Tecumseh is a vibrating monster. Hate it

@@JimsNBHomestead I've got 6 Tecumseh powered snow blowers to maintain and none run smoothly... Some I've maintained since new (30+ years) and while they all run well, "smooth" isn't part of the description I use for themStratton

Thank you very much for your video. My biggest PITA has been trying to get the Damn belt cover back on. I can not get the "chute rod" side on correctly. That lower bolt on the engine seems to be in the way. How does it go on correctly?

leave the fasteners loosely screwed so you can manipulate the plastic in order to line up the bolt holes

How do you get a frozen wheel off the shaft ??

Excellent question! Now for the answer, It depends how long the rust has had a chance to take hold. It will take a lot of patience and and basically what ever it takes. If it has been a while then definitely heat and lots of it. Do you a welder? do you a compressor? pneumatic chisel? gear puller? You can see where I'm going? Start with lots of penetrating oil and tapping the hub with a hammer. the shock of the tapping may break up the rust. Good luck bob.

For a 1 year of use that’s in terrible shape.
