Twisted sista makes a great clarifying shampoo... the clear nourish line is totally outrageous ... its cg friendly and really does a great job for coils and curls....

I’m so glad you liked it. I’m going to try the stylers. I got the mask and I’ve been loving it. A little goes a long way. I’m on my 10th wash and I have more to go. Most of their products are CG friendly and they are water soluble which means it won’t build up. That’s why I was attracted to the brand. Thanks for the review. You guys look great!!

Moptop is a beautiful line with great value for money, the bamboo conditioner (light, very moistruizing and great slip!) and custard (best curl enhancer eveeer) are my holy grails, but their leave in and all stylers are glycerin heavy, so they are not for very low and very high dew points, 40-60F (4-16C) is the perfect dew range for glycerin for most people, its more of spring and fall weather typically.
Great products for summer humidity:
Ouidad *Heat&Humidity Gel (the standard version only!), Jessicurl *Spiralicious and their conditioners are good leave ins, DevaCurls *Wave Maker and the Foam, Zerran *Foam and Firm Hold Gel
for drugstore: As I Am *Leave In, Kinky Curly Knot Today and the Custard, Some Giovanni products (definitely leave ins and *Foam), Pantene Curl Mousse (it's not nourishing though)

ocandro thank you so much for the information. What do you recommend for humid days? I never seem to get the correct products for humidity. 🤷♀️🏻 I don't know what else to try/buy.
@@abarb2009 I edited my previous comment and added recommendations. I remembered that Curl Junkie also have at least 2 glycerin free gels, Pattern Pusha and something with Queen in name, I believe.

Hey M.A.D, Curls!! Great results from Mop Top. I will have to try them for the humidity we'll get this summer in MI .... ooooh, Boy!! So, glad you did this review!! TY. I may have to do what Lorianne did in applying because sectioning is just applying too much. I did a wash and go other day, used gel and did not like results. I think, i'm a one and done Girl w/a lil oil; don't like the feel of too much products on my hair.

I have wavy hair and love the Mop Top leave in, custard and conditioner. The gentle shampoo is good but a bit clarifying. It's also sold at Whole Foods.

I just tried the clarifying shampoo from this line yesterday for wash day. I love the smell, its very citrusy and uplifting. I got mine the 8oz on amazon for $12 not bad at all. I did like how it came out, but it did leave my hair feeling dry and stripped. I will say the deva build up buster even though the most expensive💲💲 is still the one I like the best since it really cleans but it doesn't make my hair feel stripped. (I keep trying to find a cheaper replacement for the deva...havnt found it yet🤦🏽♀️)

3rd vote here for Buildup Buster. I know MAD Curls wasn’t a fan, but my stylist turned me on to the best way to use it, and it’s now a permanent part of my rotation. And I buy the big size in bulk with a coupon/discount from Ulta or Sephora (the best unit cost option).

Earlier today, I was watching part of your Glycerin-Free video from last summer. I’m living on Long Island and the humidity of summer is approaching 😩. Didn’t realize it’s better to avoid glycerin in hair products during the summer humidity that my area is known for. I see most of these Moptop products have glycerin. Have you done a video reviewing Jessicurl products? Is it more important to avoid glycerin in styling products vs. shampoo and conditioner?

Haven’t finished the video yet, but just as an FYI, the front of a product is all advertising. It can be very misleading. This is not illegal, but some may feel it’s unethical. This why a product can advertise some tropical ingredient and it ends up next to last on their actual ingredient list. Anyway, the ingredients list is where you should look for what’s present in a product and how much is actually there. Ok...back to the video.

Hey M.A.D. Curls! Wonderful video as usual 😊 I first heard about Moptop from Curly Penny aka Penny Tovar. She use to rave about their curly custard. So I got it from Amazon, but it wasn't a strong enough hold for me. But I definitely want to try one of the other gels with a stronger hold.

I haven’t heard of MopTop in YEARS! If it wasn’t for you guys mentioning it on your treatment Tuesday video I wouldn’t have thought about this brand. MopTop is EXPENSIVE as HELL! I unfortunately wouldn’t buy any of their products due to them prices and it not being easy to find.

This was a bomb wash n go! Definition + some volume = perfection. I’m really loving these results but I still need the Eden body works papaya & castors products & those seem like they would do more for my hair. I need a little bit of a stronger hold otherwise I won’t get the definition I need & my wash n go won’t last. But this was real cute, nonetheless! Love ya ladies & see y’all on Friday night live! ❤️

Hi ladies!!!! OMG, I missed watching your videos. I've been away for a while and barely had service to make a call. I felt like I went through withdrawal symptoms lol. I love your hair cuts and the results u both got from these products. I've been thinking about cutting my hair in the shape u have Tay, but I'm afraid to because my hair is so thin, and as I get older is getting even thinner. What do u ladies think? Do u think it'll work on thin fine curls? Right now my hair is too long, like right above my butt, and I think getting rid of some length will hopefully help give me better curls by removing the weight. What do u think? Lol I'm sorry, I've been gone for a while, and as soon as I get back I'm begging for help. Lol

Only thing I tried from them is their cleansing conditioner and it's amazing. As soon as I started using it, they stopped selling the line at Target so I haven't bothered buying anything online
