Today I wanted to mix it up a little, rather than create a Mabon altar, it's about time for a manifestation altar; this time for Peaceful Transformations.

Note: I used foil rather than a plate for several reasons:
a) I don't have that many plates going spare, or enough space to store them specificlly for candles
b) Wax on plates/glass can be difficult to remove unless you add them to the freezer and my freezer isn't big enough to be holding plates while they freeze
c) Foil gives me a good flat surface that I can recycle after use, I can adapt it to the size I need.
Would glass beads, the inexpensive ones, or marbles on the foil work? Just enough to cover the foil?
Sounds like a pain to clean. I don't mind the foil, I'm planning on using the wax in other workings anyway, so I really need to cleanly get it off a surface, which is why I quite enjoy foil as an easy alternative.

I use a cheap picture frame with a piece of felt that I can change the color of based on my working. It works wonders!
Note the glass is still in the frame!! Wax pops right off the glass!

Hearth, thank you for telling us that magick is messy. I can't have an altar in the open at home because my family is Catholic. They're still accepting one step at a time that I do Tarot readings, hence why I have a portable altar only.
To be honest, my portable altar is quite simple and far from being Instagram-perfect. I like it a lot but sometimes I feel the pressure of having something perfect to please my archangels and deities.
Anyway, your peaceful transformation altar looks amazing and is very inspiring!

I didn't celebrate Mobon either this year. And for the same reasons. It just didn't feel like mabon. We still have rose buds still blooming in our garden. England just hasn't felt like it's entered autumn yet. I'll celebrate it when I feel it's actually here.
Now THAT is a 🕯 candle! Your sigil is gorgeous on there. It looks so nice and professional. I would love to see a video watching you make another. Mine always look very willy-nilly. I am very lucky. I have five special areas where I can set up different alters. Blessings!

Posted in perfect time. Taking my first break of work day and can watch second half on next break. This weekend I plan to set up my alter and need some help for a peaceful transformation as I left a relationship, moved, started a new job and got injured. So I need some peace. Hugs to you Hearth 💛

who cares if its aesthetically pleasing!! As much as I am an ASMAR and artsy type of person, and adhd so love ALL things shiny(can't stress this enough lmao...) I love all of the mundane work that is put into this. The purpose especially, it's one of the reasons why I want to become more into this practice. I originally wanted to get a degree in psychology to help people. However, college didn't work out for me, and I heard lots of witch's help people, past and present, so I figured not only would it be good spiritually to start a new journey, I could also help people in this way, even if there is no actual contact with the person, which is also perfect for me. I get social anxiety real bad every now and then.
It makes me happy a witchy CZcamsr is putting things out there, even with the editing, that shows this much work and how you go about it. It's EXTREMELY helpful for the baby witchies out here!! Lots of inspiration I'm getting from these types of videos as well. I'm not a complete baby witch, I've been doing deep studies for a bit now. However I haven't yet to set up any altar for any celebration, I'm also a slow learner and so I knew it was going to take a while to remember each holiday and to decide which ones were important enough and that resembles with me so I can motivate myself even more to remember them. That part hasn't been a clear "in the green" or figured out yet lol.
I love altar videos. I would love to see more in depth ones like these for each seasonal holiday or festival/celebration!!! Or whichever ones you celebrate more. It makes me feel actually pretty special being in this practice, I am and always have been very artsy, I practice and sketch something on an every other day basis, and occasionally crafty already!! I plan on setting my Imbolc altar up hopefully either today or tomorrow and are leaving it up until the end of Feb, I just can't decide where to put it. I'm not a Broomcloset Witch, thankfully I don't have to be. My parents(especially mom, can't thank her enough!!) are very accepting of my practice. However, my stuff is already all over the place. I'm a complete, 100% homebody, & with unfortunately no job right now due to mental health circumstances, and don't need to be cluttering it up even more. I'd put it in my room, I have the perfect desk, but it's where I keep my cat's food so she doesn't have any trouble reaching it, and doesn't knock it accidentally.
Anyone have any ideas? I am currently mostly residing on the couch. I go to my room on occasion, I do have my own spot at the kitchen table, mainly I store my paint supplies and other mail here. A note: since i"ve had covid, (thank God no more, I got over it around Fri/Sat of last week) I had been isolated up there for a week and a half and I really don't want to be up there so much anymore lol. Your eye makeup is STUNNING!
Two altars here, one is my kitchen altar set up on a Morrison's melamine sandwich tray. The other is a crafty altar next to where I stitch, and it's some repurposed items on an old wooden tray I got from a workplace; ie a wood crochet hook to represent Wands, etc. I put a rose on each and a tarot card for Mabon.
Brilliant! Crochet is knot magic and using a hook is a beautiful wand idea!
Wow this alter is amazing. Aesthetics thankfully aren’t the be all and end all. But this alter absolutely has homely and peaceful feel to it and that candle !! Wow ❤️.

I completely understand what your feeling, I have not been happy with the seasonal change. Growing up as a little girl by mid August it was starting to cool down & you could feel the cool autumn air starting to creep in with thunderstorms & all. Now it’s October & still 100 degrees outside 🥺 no rain, 😭 I don’t know what’s going on-people says it’s “climate change” but I have faith that Mother Nature is stronger, is more magical than this mess-so it’s like I am losing what faith I have left….in this planet. Which makes me feel hopeless & depressed. I am fighting it though🤯 everyday✨ trying to stay positive.

That candle carving is GORGEOUS and I must try it! I feel like I need to add a bit to my altar to honor the first big snow we"re getting today. Maybe I'll switch my fall fireweed stalk with empty branches with the ends painted white, and a light blue table runner :)

Thank you for being real. I've been kind of stuck in such a grey space lately. My alters are just taking up space and collecting dust. To hear you share not feeling Mabon festive makes this seem "normal" and ok. I started studying about 6 months ago and had so much fire, I think I burned myself out. Love the dark goddess statue! You should find a nice platter or plate that you could use under that candle stand to catch the wax. Time to visit a second hand store or pound shop- lol. Beautiful altar- filled with meaning. Many blessings

I totally agree about forgetting. I've found that my spells work best when I forget about them. :D Also, I love the choices of cards from the living altar deck. I've recently started using the cards regularly on my altar too. They've brought in so many changes :)
I love the altar setup and think it's very pretty! I keep a section on my altar for other people (prayer requests, anything people have asked for, health, finance &c.) And like you I use cards- I have a small easel and some place card holders.

I have never seen a candle that big!
Sometimes, I can set up my altar in an hour. Other times, it can take up to two weeks because I need to sit with things and allow my intuition to guide me. For the most part, I have everything I need. The odd time, I have to pick something up (usually a candle or two). Currently, I am moving into a new aspect of my practice, so my altar is much different than it has been in the last couple of years and I absolutely love it. Magic is definitely messy both internally and externally.
I think walking us through techniques are sleays useful. And you discussing Sigil methodology was cool

This has been me in general this year, havent felt up to doing it, even Samhain which is my personal favorite.
The candle is beautiful!!! Candle magic is some thing that I’m just recently becoming more interested in. Previously I was working more with herbs, and Magick just within the home. I still love those forms of magic, but I would like to expand. Honestly, I really just want to learn everything. 😂🤣
Anyway, the making of that sigil would be a fantastic video! Anything that you are willing to teach? Honestly, I will be happy to learn. You never know what technique is going to work until you try it.

You should quite a few very personal clips in this video and I rlly rlly appreciate! Actually watching someone put together their own altar is personal in general it helps someone who is somewhat new to this rlly learn and have something to go off of!

You can use coloured wax from another candle or even crayons. Heat it with another candle or lighter so it's pliable but not liquid and draw it within the sigil.
There is a medium for painting candles called paint adhesive medium. You use it with acrylic paint. Other paints may be toxic

get a round tray and then put cloth underneath so as not to damage your alter or just get a strong black plastic tray to catch the wax, it will be fine and it your alter will be fine
