  • We've made our way to North Goa and in this video we attend our first First Night Market in India!
Clive's Saturday Night Market in Goa, India, is a vibrant and bustling market that takes place every Saturday evening. Located in the town of Arpora, just north of Baga Beach, it is a popular attraction for both locals and tourists alike.
The market offers a diverse array of goods, including clothing, accessories, jewelry, handicrafts, artwork, souvenirs, and much more. It's a great place to shop for unique and handmade items, as well as to experience the local culture and atmosphere.
In addition to shopping, Clive's Saturday Night Market also features live music performances, cultural shows, and a wide variety of food stalls offering delicious Goan cuisine and international fare. Visitors can enjoy everything from fresh seafood to Indian street food to international dishes.
The market usually starts in the late afternoon and continues into the night, creating a lively and festive atmosphere. It's a perfect place to spend a Saturday evening, whether you're looking to shop, eat, or simply soak in the vibrant atmosphere of Goa.

In India losing the first customer of the day is considered bad luck & so they will do everything to retain their first customer of the day. This is true across India.

I'm sorry for the kids if you think that toys in India are cheaper. Even Indians know it's not 2000s anymore. The prices marked are definitely high, but you've to start really low in your bargain if you think they're pricing it up just because you're non-locals or stand next to other locals and observe their bargain game. I wish the children had a budget of 500 each. They'd have had the toys they wished for. But the kids still got the bargain skills 🤗. Little Sister nails the bargain trick-ignore and wait for them to call back 😅.

Yes the vendors seems so friendly, not pushy there. Which country have you noticed the most persistent vendors? For us it was Lombok, indonesia 😅
You should switch from black clothes to light grey, much cooler in the sun 👌

    • @OurTinyAdventure
      @OurTinyAdventure  Před 26 dny

Yes, it was a good time. Probably Bali. Not only persistent but many were dishonest. They would tell you one price to lure you in but then say another when you were ready to buy. Not all, but some.
Thanks for the tip on light grey, I may switch it up soon 👍
      Thanks for watching 🙏

    in india, the retail markup is between 25 %' - 40 %
if the cost price is 100, it retails for 125 - 140
whereas in europe / usa, the markup is anything between 250 % to 500 % depending on the retailer's profile and location
so, the same item which costs 100 is retailed for 250 - 500 !
so, its hilarious to see you bargaining with local artisans while you get fooled without a whimper in your own country !

900 is costly, the max price must be 400-500.
When a shop person say 1500 then the actual max price must be 500, simple logic

I heard that Westerners eat hamburgers, fries, fried chicken, Coke, sandwiches, coffee, pasta, pizza, hotdog , steak , cereal, bread, and milk for three meals a day. Is this true? Or do Americans and Europeans eat differently?

Instead of having food outside you should eat at the hotel you are staying at, bcos at these kind of places food quality is not good.
