    A little bit of blue lok-tite on the threads of the aluminum fasteners will help keep them from loosening. :)

      Thanks! I’ll try that! I tried Teflon tape too and it worked perfect for like a week so ya I’ll definitely try the loktite

    Just bought this for my sugar scoop. After so many years I just had enough with the plastic garbage. I don’t know why I didn’t upgrade earlier. I knew about them.

      Nice! Ya same! I did have to add teflon tape to the threads to the aluminum hardware but since it’s been perfect so far. Finally something reliable

    What is a weight of Tigerhood ?

    Theres the hood you got but then when everyone says pipeliners pipeliners are most predominantly pancake hoods cause there mostly out side then there is a sugar scoop for inside then there's other hoods that are great to but I never use those I use a pancake for inside and outside

    • @fluxngutz4667
      @fluxngutz4667  Před 2 lety

      Ya you’re right. I think it depends on where you’re from but I’ve heard people call both the sugar scoops and the pancake hoods pipeliners. But ya i think the more common “pipeliner” is the pancake hood because of blocking out the light from behind while you’re welding on “the pipeline” but either way I guess these hood nuts work on both pancake and sugar scoop, at least that’s what I read.

    Do I need any tools to change those out or are they just finger tight

      You tighten it by hand as much as you want so you get that perfect flip

    Will they work on any other helmet that is not a pipeliner hood

    • @fluxngutz4667
      @fluxngutz4667  Před 2 lety

      Mine are specifically for the fiber metal but I saw these:
      3mirrors Welding Hood (Pipeliner) Helmet Fasteners Gold Headgear Replacement Parts Accessories Screws Flip Hood Aluminum - Anodized w/Silicone Washer 1 Pair www.amazon.com/dp/B08Q3D766S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_KSK29Z1A9GHS7BZC0XF1
      That apparently fit both speedglas and fiber metal if you have one of those. So ya they might fit some other hoods. What kind do you have? You can always try them out and return them.

      @@fluxngutz4667 i have a Miller digital elite helmet. I think I’m going to give them a try see if they work. Thanks for answering.

      Ya always worth a try. I have a Miller infinity and it absolutely does not work on that at all. Unless I put completely different headgear. I did a bit of searching for any fasteners specific for Miller and I didn’t see any. 😕 hope you find a solution Carlos! Take care.

    What lens do you have in there

    • @fluxngutz4667
      @fluxngutz4667  Před 2 lety

      For general welding I have a shade 10 fixed gold glass lens, for aluminum or arc welding I use the same lens but a shade 11.
      I haven’t found a auto darkening lens that’s fits this hood yet. But I’m traditional and prefer fixed lenses anyway so one day I’ll get around to it but I’m not in a rush.
