- She is one of the few female jockeys currently plying her trade at Caymanas Park. Andree Powell has had to overcome serious injuries at the start of her career that sidelined her for close to three years out of competitive race riding. During this torturous period of pain and anxiety, Powell was forced to make life decisions concerning her future in the saddle. After careful thinking and consultation, Powell made the choice to return to the pigskin.
Quickgallop.com, and its You Tube Channel - The Quick Galloper spoke with Powell following her recent return to the track.

I think this jockey has a bright future as a jockey. Let me take the time to welcome her back in the saddle. If she gets the right rides she will do very well. She should try work with a trainer like the master himself Phillip Feanny.
