    “How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
    Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
    Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
    Welcome to the Young Nails family!

      Yess! My clients so far are only family members and they know I’m not a pro yet so they always have things to say about how I’m doing the work. I started using this grip and it’s both easier to maneuver the finger AND to block them from seeing the process. It allows me to think better when it’s just me & the nails.

    You're just the absolute best. I'm in nail school now. Watched a ton of your videos 6 months prior to school. Was totally new to the whole technology of nails and service. I've got to say, your vids are more correct and higher quality than any other tech I've seen. Your tips are awesome. And your care is incredible. School teaches that bonds and acetone aren't "toxic". Completely untrue. Your training on using efile to remove gel polish as well as acrylic sculptures is so so so much healthier for clients nails, and lu n gs and whole body. SOAK ( acetone) sucks. I trust you and I absolutely live you.❤ by the way, your acid free protein bond is healthy and effective. Thank you. Also, the school has a contract with a different line of products for students...YET, the instructors all agree that YN products are the best and they personally use YN. Lol. Lol. Students all agree that YN is the best, too. So they promote your products even though the school as an institution promotes and sells a different line. I buy your products, too. THANK YOU. LOVE TO YOU ALL.

      You should use your base coat gel that's in builder kit, it don't pull away. It's AMAZING! You weren't zoomed in but from the distance, it looks like the color pulled away from cuticle. Maybe it's just the shape of her natural cuticle.
      Thank you for showing us the proper way to do this. I'm tearing up my natural nails.

    For me honestly I don’t have problems with the gel pulling away from the nail or any of that so this didn’t resonate with me but what did come as a problem was no cuticle work was done so her cuticles looked jagged and there was still color left on the nails so I’m not really sure what we’re supposed to be shown just a quick 30 minute manicure which I can still do and do all of the cuticle work and remove all of the polish!

    I typically use the same techniques with my e-file to remove the product, and then I proceed as I would with a gel polish application (push cuticles, use small cuticle bit, swipe, protein bond, etc...). I noticed that you skipped the step of pushing back and cleaning the cuticles before the protein bond, like you would with any standard service. Is that because you used the diamond bit to feather around the cuticles? Just curious to see your take on this step. Your feedback is appreciated.💅🏻💗💗💗

      if you get too close to the cuticle it will flood. the best method to cover the nail fully is to come back with a very thin brush that's coated with the same nail polish! it's quicker that way than to come back and clean it if the cuticle is flooded.

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Před měsícem

      If you are applying enhancements, we do not recommend soaking the nails or applying lotions or oils prior to the service. We would follow the steps for prepping (push back cuticles, remove shine with the efile and medium sanding band, cleanse with Swipe and apply 2 coats of Protein Bond), apply and finish your enhancements. Once the enhancements are finished, then you can apply any oils, lotions, scrubs, etc. This way the water or oils won't interfere with your adhesion prior to application.

    Can over fileing lead to infection or very sensitive nails after? My auntie can't go back to the lady somehow ended up with something on her toes; i told her to go see doctor and get that checked out. Do you recommend the gel remover that are selling in a bottle? My friend trying it and i told her to look up your videos for how to remove gel. Im hoping she will get help removing her nail colors i saw her nail beds were looking raw or pink in center.😢

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Over filing wouldn’t necessarily cause an infection unless it broke the skin or they completely filed through the nail plate and the nail bed/soft tissue is open. If this happens, it opens the skin and could allow bacteria in.
      Definitely encourage your auntie to consult with her doctor to get treatment if necessary. It’s best to take care of an infection sooner rather than later.
      If you are wanting us soak off enhancements, we recommend using straight acetone. Some other “nail remover” products can be too harsh or even corrosive.

    So you file and shape the nail after the polish has been applied? 🤔

    • @michelleoss-payne9641
      @michelleoss-payne9641 Před 3 lety +10

      It's really just refining the shape after the polish is applied. Sometimes the gel polish application adds some bulk to the original filing that is easily refined with a fine grit file.

    Thank you so much this was really informative. The one thing that I was surprised about was you filing the edges after you applied the set, I thought that would break the seal of the top go on the capped edge? Or does it not do that?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Před rokem +1

      As long as you apply Protein Bond, you do not need to cap the free edge. Our gel polish will adhere well to the filed surface with Protein Bond. Some people like to cap the edges for a more finished look, but it is not necessary.

    Hellow Sir,how are you?I would like to ask once you apply bond you don't need to cure it first in Uv /Led mashine ,before you apply base coat, you just go direct applying base coat Or there's aneed of curing it,bonder,and then apply base coat?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Před rokem

      You don’t cure our protein bond. Once you apply it to all 10 nails, you are good to apply the second coat and then after all 10 again your product.

      You only go in one direction towards yourself and then pick it up and start back at the beginning point.

    @YoungNailsInc is that a240 file you use at the end? I am a DIY person trying to get my gel polish to last longer on my self and my sister I bought the protein bond (game changer!!!!!!) but thank you for teaching me how to polish correctly and hold the bottle and hand. I realized I was doing that wrong annnnnd despite thinking I wasn’t using a lot of polish I clearly was. I have watched and rewatched this video and will continue to. I am a nurse by trade and don’t have the time or the large budget to go back to school to be licensed so I learn at young nails university ❤

    So taking care of the cuticles should be separate when the client just wants a gel polish color? Or should it be included

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Před rokem

      The cuticles were prepped in this video. Typically we don’t recommend cutting cuticles. Pushing back and using an e-file to clean up usually does the job.

    Oh my God I got the worst gel nail allergic reaction in the world. It's is so painful. It started out being just red and irritated and then all of a sudden and they were drying irritated cracking too full on infected. I've never been allergic to acrylic but I guess I am to gel. It's been 2 and 1/2 weeks of straight pain went to the doctor got some topical cream and some antibiotic I go through at least 50 bandaids within a couple days.

    I notice you didn’t cap the edge of the nail with any of the layers of your application, I’ve always been taught to “cap” the free edge. Do you have a reason for not doing this? Also the application process is completely different to anything I’ve ever watched before.
