  • Key icon Greg Phillinganes has been influencing players for four decades, from his work with Stevie Wonder (while still in his teens) to recording and touring with Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, Toto, and more. Greg's huge discography spans a spectrum of pop music, exemplifying his versatility and sonic taste. Currently the musical director for Cirque du Soleil's mega hit Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour, Greg took some time away from his busy touring schedule to explore the Korg Krome Music Workstation. Watch Greg illustrate a bunch of the Krome's fantastic sounds, as he lets the keyboard do the talking.

    I've not got far into it, but the editing is far more involved than on my Triton classic (bar the lack of custom samples and MOSS). The classic samples are there still, but the EPs and acoustic piano blow the Triton out of the water sound wise. The Triton blows the Krome out of the water build quality wise. I suspect the power connector on the Krome will last weeks rather than years (Korg: WHY did you use that tiny flimsy coaxial connector? Trying to do worse than Hammond on the SK series?!)

  • @wiggygfe
    @wiggygfe Před 11 lety +1

    The synth sounds are the same as the M50, as are all the other sounds apart from the pianos, ep's and drums

    Really good instrument on it's own, however couple of major flaws - I owe 61 keys version.
    First of all - editor as vst plugin - only 32bits. Another quite annoying thing - lack of transpose buttons. Seriously - is it that rocket science ?

    OK, this axe SOUNDS good but is it intuitive when it comes to writing? I currently own a Yamaha MOX6 and I'm not happy with it ... Whoever stole my Roland Fantom X6 deserves a special place in hell
