HOLY CRAP I talked to these kids before. It was on a Saturday and I was playing World at war with my friend when someone knocked on my door I answered and immediately they started to speak they said "Hi do you have any violent video games to thrown away and be destroyed so America's youth can soon become non violent and safe?" I almost died of laughter I was holding it back so I just looked at him really weirdly and said "No I don't want to, but I am playing a violent video game with my friend right now so bye." And as I was closing the door he said "Did you know the violent video game titled Doom solely caused the Colombine high school massacre?" I than just slammed the door.

Well a lot of the parents that complain about video games taking their children away from them only complain and tend to not do anything about it or go about doing something the wrong way. If they just tried playing the games with their children then it would be easier for the parents and children to connect, and help the parents help their children branch out beyond vidya gaims.

I understand that this was about a week after the school shooting in Newtown, and that the dad doesn't want his kids to end up like the shooter who shot the 26 people there, but it's his responsibility to make sure that what the kids have no negative influences like violence, or inappropriate things.
But really, what the dad should have done was just sit down and talk to his kids and explain what happened and why he should get rid of the games by selling them, or donating them to charity (considering that it was the Christmas season). But no, he thinks it's a good idea to schedule an interview with CNN and tell the whole world that they are throwing their games in the trash.
Well, I hope they don't sleep well at night after this interview and the years to come, cuz that left a bad mark on the internet and probably their community.
